maybe he is just that good :) Great video btw ! Have been watching your videos sinces day 1 ! Is there any chance you can make a video on float balls? Often times they looks so easy but those are the ones most amateurs shoot over somehow. Any particular tips/secrets you have for this? Also return heavy spin serves (side spin mainly) seems to be related to the same issue as I always feel "scared to attack them somehow". Against backspin or topspin it seems much easier somehow. great videos again and happy new year !

@@ulm287 What exactly do you mean with float balls?
@ulm287Ай бұрын
@@OlavKTTT oh I mean the ones without spin. So often, especially with us amateurs, you had a shot and the opponent just puts it back but in a rather weak way. These seem to be the ones that I can’t seem to kill … Also no spin serves, seem so tricky as well. I heard that you are just supposed to spin the top of the ball (12 o clock) but a more in-depth tutorial would be quite appreciated. I think this would also help playing against pimples of some sorts, where you put some light backspin on the ball, the chopper gives it back to you with short or long pimps. In that case the ball as little spin and these seem to be the ones I keep missing … Thanks again for your reply and keep it up ! Looking forward to more videos in 2025.

Subscribed. Im a amateur player from Taiwan. I like that you added the part of demonstrating mistakes. These details can already sell courses personally. Thank you for your selfless sharing.

Great advice! As mentioned in the video, I often close my racket too much making the timing much trickier on the counter-loop. This resulted in many edge shots or even complete misses. Will try opening up the racket and leaning in with my shoulders to see if it improves my consistency.

Merry Christmas Olav and happy new year! Thank you for the top quality content as usual. As a fellow LH, I am trying to serve half long pendulum just out to the side of the table so they spin cross court and I can turn the corner and hit counter spin. I love watching high level LH players use this tactic, I remember pongfinity Otto Vs TTD Dan, Otto did this beautifully. If I can mix it up with heavy backspin to deep BH often I get a slow spin or long push back to my FH which is good to get in on, I just need to practice this more 😅, I top edge a lot I think because my angle is too closed like you said

Can we make backhand topspin right after the bounce if opponent serve long fast pendulum serve with more sidespin? Can you make advice? How you receive long serve if you also expected short serve?

ZJK teaching is somewhat contradicting. But I think there are factors to it.
