this book blew me away- it touched on so many good themes and written with such heart, humour and pathos. Like great sci-fi it manages to predict some points that might have been absurd at the time of writing, but are so relevant in our crazy reality.

Especially Mary and Mandela were always from beginning. Returning to war anf being injured and exploring different planets Mary and Mandella did.

Agreed. In general, a good recap but if I was a teacher and this was a book report, I'd think this person didn't read the book but listened to someone's summary who had read the book. Every so slightly off but off enough that I question I'd s/he did read the book.

@JackMyersPhotography I'm not sure this book has any revelations in it that could spoil it for someone. If there was something I would withhold, it was that he was able to meet back up with... what's her name, because when they split up, it was already doubtful both would survive the war, and with time dilation, basically impossible, they would come back within the same lifetime if both did survive.

Who wrote this shortage? Full of wrong informations. After completing excercise on Charon they went to Stargate 1 collapsar and then to Aleph and there fight with Taurens. Then he get back to Earth, spend some time there, and get enlisted to the rank of captain along with Marygay Potter. After attack on another collapsar when Taurens presents themselves with far more superior weapon they not get back to earth, but went to hospital planet Heaven. Fell in love, and spend some time there. Eventually enlisted as Major not Colonel, go on Sade-138 campain in Magellanic Cloud, paring ways with Marygay. After getting back to Stargate he and his squad was last to return, and while he returning, war ended. And again he not return to earth. Happends that Marygay return also, 250 years earlier, went on time travel ship to planet Miidle Finger in Mizar system Then after 1000 war they rejoin eachother.

Wtf is this ? Half the story in this video didn't happen that way in the book. This video is like a bad fever dream. (1) Collapser travel doesn't cause time dilation only near light travel TO the collapser does. (2) There was never an utopian earth only H-O-M-O-Life. (3) Mandela's last collapser jump finished centurys after the war was already over and he learned the truth after the fact instead of unveiling it himself. (4) Marygay didn't go into stasis, she and a group of people jumped forward in time via time dilation. WTF is this video ?
