There were lots of these places back in the day and unfortunately most have been demolished now ☹️ I would have loved to have gone there to have a look around. Great video though with some lovely music. 🙂🍻👍🏻

Hanah Chaplin, Charlie Chaplins mother was commited to Crane Hill in May 1903. She was there until 1921, when Chaplin moved her to California.

We walked around cane hill in 1992 soon after it closed, still had the beds in the wards very creepy. The place could of been saved n converted, but soon as the vandals n thieves turned up it got ruined ☹

Shocking the way this hospital was closed. Last remaining workers were given no notice, couldn’t even access their belongings. Total waste of useful space & totally useable hospital equipment. Many, many records and personal possessions of patients left to rot and to be seen by anyone. Where was data protection then? Many people living there would now be put in care homes which are seriously poorly staffed, ill equipped, lacking mental health professionals and basic staffing numbers.
