"The coolest mask gimmick ever" *Kane enters the chat
@TheFlamingPike
@TheFlamingPike 4 ай бұрын
And even before that, El Santo who was a cultural icon for Mexico and pretty much started the masked wrestler trend. Then you have Tiger Mask in Japan who was so popular that the gimmick went from one wrestler to the other and he ended up in mangas, animes and video games ( King in Tekken is a direct tribute to Tiger Mask ). But I agree I think Kane is the coolest masked wrestler to ever step in the ring. When you're more intimidating than The Undertaker it means something.

What a underrated wrestler and with all the stories about him he never had a bad word said about him, in fact he helped so many before himself in my view. I thought it was bad to hear that cena spoke to say he was rubbish when you see how much he trained not just wrestlers but star guests in wcw (the young cena would have known this being in the background of the film and see it before his eyes). How we miss those days and the great memories all the wrestlers have given us RESPECT TO YOU ALL involved thanks.

If Booker T was the crowned Jewel of WCW during the invasion, Kanyon was a diamond in the rough. I hear so many people saying the invasion was a failed event but I honestly was glad the top stars didn't come to WWE at the time because it created an opportunity for the undercard of WCW to shine. Kanyon is a prime example of that. He was a monster on the mic and in the ring and we finally got to see him shine. I don't know why any company would let a guy like this go. He should have made it all the way to the top as far as I'm concerned. RIP Kanyon

Ever since DSOTR people have been saying Kanyon should've been bigger but the reality is that he wrestled in an era where over half of the roster on both sides of the fence were going to be hall of famers. Documentaries don't always show the cold facts. Maybe in 2024 Kanyon in his prime would've been a big deal, but those who were there in the 90's didn't care much for Kanyon. When he interacted with other wrestlers like Raven or DDP, they would totally outshine him. He didn't have the "it" factor, as JR calls it.
