So it would've been perfect, right? Also, I love the steel cylinder from DS Bowser Castle and its alternate paths. You either stay on the cylinder to stay ahead of the path like a boss. OR, if you fall off, instead of Lakitu saving you, you're basically forced to take the 'Walk of Shame' and go on a much longer path, while those that stayed on get ahead of you. @ArendAlphaEagle3 ай бұрын
I don't think that Piranha Plant Pipeline returning has anything to do with it being released "too late" for the BCP. In several instances, the BCP actually had Tour courses being released _early_ (as in, BEFORE they _actually made their debut_ in Tour), those being Sky-High Sundae, Yoshi's Island, and notably Squeaky Clean Sprint (which was also a Wave 5 release). Prior datamines in Tour also suggest that Piranha Plant Pipeline was in development around the same time as Yoshi's Island, so it's not like it was a last-minute addition to the game. Also, I think we could see GBA Rainbow Road pop up in the next Mario Kart; given that since Mario Kart 7, one Rainbow Road has always been included as a retro course, and while 7 has the SNES version, 8 has the N64 version, suggesting they'll be going in chronological order. Tour was an outlier, given that it works so differently compared to previous Mario Karts and that most of its retro selection (especially early on) were from Mario Kart 7 courses in general, explaining the return of 3DS Rainbow Road AND SNES Rainbow Road; they later also gave Wii courses some love, explaining the return of Wii Rainbow Road, and essentially going through the Rainbow Road list _in reverse._ Now true, Tour eventually gave a lot of GBA courses some love, so why GBA Rainbow Road wasn't remade right then, I believe they'll be saving that one up for a proper Mario Kart sequel. Speaking of which, both 8 and Tour revamped a lot of the GBA courses, so the next Mario Kart could do the same with GBA Rainbow Road too.

@SamRegan6103 ай бұрын
There's courses in 8DX that have major split paths like Sweet Sweet Canyon, Twisted Mansion, Electrodrome, Bone-Dry Dunes, Bowser's Castle, Rainbow Road, and that's just from the original 16. The dead end feather shortcut area is turned into a ramp that works as a decent mushroom shortcut on 150cc and can cut even more on 200cc. I think Wario colosseum could be done as a section track without TOO much alteration to the original track layout by having one section incorporate the colosseum itself, just thinking off the top of my head maybe a part of the original track could be broken at the end of the first section, and the racers drop into the colosseum for the second section, drive around it a bit, and then glider ramp back onto the track for a third section to end off the lap. Quite what the colosseum part of the track would look like i don't know, but i think it could be a cool idea

I personally loved GBA Rainbow Road. The shortcut is hard because of the bumpers on the side, sure. But that's the fun of it. You have to be good to use the shortcut, or else you set yourself back. It's not just a shorter path in a split in the road that EVERYONE takes because if there's no difficulty spike. It's also a nice change of pace from newer game's shortcuts that say "You can only use this shortcut if you have a mushroom" No. Anyone can enter, only the elite can exit without being yeeted to the abyss.

I wouldn't say Pipeline was too late to be included, since Squeaky Clean Sprint was released in Tour after Pipeline was. Adding to that, while I don't know too much about when courses were finished, the final renders for both tracks in Tour were a year before they released in Tour and 8 Deluxe for Squeaky Clean Sprint. I feel that indicates that the tracks were indeed finished long before either of them were actually added to the game. I feel if it boils down to anything, conflicting names feels the most logical and perhaps the fact they just didn't want to include two non-city Tour tracks in the same wave.

There's a dark theory behind why Toad's Factory never returned. It's been a while since I saw a video explaining it, but it boils down to Toad being an unsavory businessman and Nintendo not wanting to draw attention to it again.

with how 8 and tour did the GBA tracks. Im super excited to see them attempt the Rainbow road of that game. They could litterally add a section where you drive into the floating bowser castle as part of the track.

31:30 When Mario Kart 8 Deluxe first came out, they did bring back Wuhu Town which is also in Wuhu Island. So there is always next game for the two Wuhu Island tracks to come back, potentially. Since they aren’t entirely off the table. 34:59 Lmao.

You forgot about N64 Sherbet Land. That was LITERALLY one of my personal favorite classic courses that debuted in the Nintendo 64 back then. Wish that one SHOULD'VE been added in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass. Other than N64 Sherbet Land, here is the list of my other favorite courses that WOULD'VE been added in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but left out (including some that you mentioned in this video): 1. N64 Banshee Boardwalk 2. GBA Rainbow Road 3. DS Airship Fortress 3. 3DS Wuhu Island 4. 3DS Maka Wuhu 5. GCN Wario Coliseum 6. Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline (originally a course for Mario Kart DS by the way, but got scrapped due to being "too ambitious") 7. Wii Bowser's Castle 8. GCN Rainbow Road 9. N64 Sherbet Land (aforementioned) 10. GBA Broken Pier 11. 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar 12. 3DS Daisy Hills And that is my list of courses that WOULD'VE been in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass but never came back to be added. Perhaps they're probably saved for the next Mario Kart game for the successor console to the Nintendo Switch. 👍👍👍

tbh this is about courses that haven't come back in any game, not just the booster pass, n64 sherbet land came back for the wii (and I love it)
@caseyp81733 ай бұрын
@@MidnightCapricorn2696 Yes, I am aware that N64 Sherbet Land at least returned in Mario Kart Wii and I am obsessed with that course aside from the Wii version of Rainbow Road. Perhaps though, these forgotten courses could be saved for the next Mario Kart game. 👍👍👍

Wii Luigi Circuit isn't just _like_ a racetrack that could appear in any racing game, it *is* a racetrack that could appear in any racing game. Wii Luigi Circuit is literally just a compacted version of the Monza road circuit, in its original layout from the 1920s (which had no chicanes, and a banked final corner, unlike the modern version), with some Mario-themed embellishments like boost panels and pipes.

From GBA onwards most of the tracks that haven't returned are probably just tracks they just haven't brought back yet, no other reason. with the rainbow roads that haven't returned it's probably just because they aren't the first 2 or exceptionally popular like wii or the 3ds's and in the 3ds case like 12 of those tracks returned in tour

Honestly, Wario Colliseum and Bowsers Castle Double Dash were my two fav tracks from DD, so I'd love for them both to come back even with the warts. (Though I do heartily agree, making WC a section track and/or making part of it take place in the stone coliseum proper would be awesome)
