@@ElijahDMGZ I came out with a review for the movie on my channel. And praised it for what I liked but also criticized it for the lack of character usage. Like Rarity doesn't really do much along with some of the other characters. I think the fact that was made for "kids" restricted the creativity for the movie. Kids can handle dark things, just look at the old 90s/early 2000 cartoons like Courage the cowardly Dog, Justice League Unlimited, Batman thr Animated series and Batman Beyond

Imagine being imprisoned like that, and she lost her cutie mark in the process (fitting for one who was stealing others marks imo) Alicorns live a long time too so that to me is a worse fate than being turned to stone (and shattered, I dont think he would have felt that, being stone? do they retain conciousness while in stone? curious questions that arise whenever i think about it lol)

I still feel the biggest missed opportunity of the 2017 movie was the Storm King and his relationship with Tempest. I wish he was more in the movie, not only to clearly show him as a threat beyond careless actions, and maybe showing us more of why Tempest trusted him despite her principle from her villain song (Like they did in the Prequel comics). Tempest is still among my favorite characters from G4, but it's because of this lack of buildup and clarity, alongside her being relegated to the comics, that kept her from truly being a mainstream hit of a character.

@erikbihari3625 I agree on that part. They could have just done that, but they didn't. Would have also built up Tempest, since she is basically the main antagonist. I have a few other issues with the movie, but that is my biggest issue for a movie I otherwise still really enjoy.

I wish they used the designs in 34:08 at the beginning of the G5 movie. 1.Since G5 takes place centuries after The Last Problem, it would make sense that Sunny and the rest would get details like the Mane 6's race wrong (except Twilight because she was the last princess and I believe Fluttershy was an earth pony in the drafts) being a foal's tale and that. 2. Those designs are so amazing I feel like they should've been used for something.

What I was disappointed about in this movie is that we didn’t get to see a travelling montage. It would be great to see the Mane 6 and Spike travelling through exotic locations before they arrived at the desert.

I REMEMBER when the first early concept leaks for the movie leaked. We have seen the emails where Sony Execs were questioning the plotline regarding Cosmos. They were also confused about the story because ponies were suppose to collect some kind of magical element stones and i think they also mention a Longma as one of the characters meeting the ponies. So technically we probably missed an alternative movie where Female Discord would have been a character.

If only G5 didn't get the axe, we could've gotten a second G5 film (third film or fourth if you count the 1986 film) to follow. Unlike A New Generation, this one is more like the 2017 movie: Some villains comes and terrorizes Equestria and the Mane 6, plus Sprout, has to stop them. But unlike that film and ANG, this one is much darker in tone, but too dark since its for kids. Some G4 characters make a return here: Discord, Spike, Flurry Heart, Luster Dawn, Cozy Glow, Tirek, Chrysalis, and even Scorpan (making his animation debut)

I wouldn't have minded reusing the old G4 cast, but I think creating a new cast allowed more for more creative liberties for the G5 show. I think G5 had a great many number of good ideas, and it's good moment, but with the constant swapping or studios and playing safe with the lazy predictable cookie cutter moralizing stories, along with the really rushed conclusion, didn't really help to make it enjoyable. The last special, with the more adventure centric one, was actually really enjoyable and and seemed to have been leaving the door open to more adventures and made the characters so much more interesting. Sadly it never was. Great video dude, keep it up.

I would have loved to see that it would have been interesting to have a pony who has a cool backstory and a cool character however it was good they used tempest instead with him being there brother they would have to find a lot of lore to back that story up without changing it in which case that would be difficult without explaining any reason why he wasn't mentioned ever in the story leaving people with needed answers

As I know the Storm King was the only Character in Generation 4 who was (maybe) killed if it work similar to Gargoyles, where a Figure die if the stone Version is destoyed (nur sure if Sombra can be added too). Equestria Girls was just a way to sell real Dolls to Kids alsAlterativeto Ponys, but exept the Names and the connections to the Ponys there was not much as one of many boring Highschool Cartoons the USA vomited out of the Cartoom Studios. Theres still the Question if the Sunset Shimmer we know are the Human Version or the Pony Version, because the other Version of her was never in the Show. But maybe is the human Sunset somewhere else on the human World, like Twilight, who are the Starlight Glimmer in EQG (7. Member of the Main Group) and joined the Show later. I know Cosmos was later reused, at last from the Name, for Discords crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Something I was wondering is the Legguards of G5 Opaline, who look like Storm Creature Masks, wonder if Opaline was inspired by Tempest Shaddow. Both have a similar Fur Color and Behavior. The Construction Twilight has used is nothing new, Flying Socks was the only Earth Pony who was able to join the Wonderbolts. His Story was Shown in the Comic (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Issue #81) who are count as Canon: mlp.fandom.com/wiki/Wonderbolts#IDW_comics buffy.mlpforums.com/monthly_2019_10/933546895_fixedwing.png.6eeb9d158e4af7abdabb43aa9b654cba.png As I have understand it, G5 has failed. Thats because they not have made a 2. Season of the 3D Show Make your Mark and the ending of the 2D Series Tell your Tale in the Middle of Season 2 with the additional drop of the 3. Season. I always say a next Generation would be with the Char from G4 who are already Part of MLP since G1 (Applejack, Twilight, Spike) and G3.5 (Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash), just different. The G4 Reboot would be an option for that. Theres no need to replace all char with new, special if the actual G4 Char are so much liked by the Fans, even 5 Years after the Show has ended. I mean Disney not replace Mickey Mouse with a different Char, Mickey is Part of Disney for 96 Years and still much liked, because they keep the char and change the Settings. Hasbro do the Movies and Shows of all their IP's from MLP over Transformers, G.I. Joe and more to sell their Products. So maybe they schould consider a real G4 Reboot with G6 in the Way of the Concepts. I realy would like to see an Unicorn Fluttershy and wonder who of the new Mane 6 would be the Leader, if they need one at all.

Personally, I like how Tempest and the Storm King turned out... It's just the story for them itself, that seemed like a missed opportunity. Actually, despite being close in design for one example, I think with a redesign for Cosmos, they could've had a former banished royal turned villain now butting heads with Tempest for second in command.

What about the original “My Little Pony: The Movie” from 1986? That one was a train wreck of an animated movie. The movie did released on June 27th 1986, and it was a disaster for a movie that were rushed and it took 6 weeks to make which was a month to complete the film, and it was panned by critics, just like they did with the other two films “Transformers: The Movie” and “Howard the Duck”, both were released that same year.

It's sad when My Little Pony 2017 could have been the next Simpsons Movie or SpongeBob SquarePants Movie maybe if g4 was instead of late 90s and early 2000s show and it was popular enough and if the film was amazing like the former two it could've made 500 or 600 million if released in 2002 or 2003 maybe more than The Simpsons and the highest grossing animated film based on a TV show.

I can see why they cut/changed what they did- as sad as I am that it didn't happen. All those amazing, edgier ideas and character designs were fit for their own movie, not for an MLP-branded movie. Of course the cooler, edgier ideas can't be done for a movie being marketed for 3-10 year olds. They can't make it as serious as Mulan or Treasure Planet, the executives and parents see MLP on the same maturity level as Paw Patrol. I so do wish we got the cool antagonist designs, especially since they would've been in cinematic 2D... since that's a dead artform to executives since like 2000. It would've been amazing to see it before they'd make it in 3D today if they did reuse the ideas. Unrelated, they made the right call with the pirates but could still be improved
