Bizarre to think of Jackson, Cleveland and McKinley as forgotten. If they are forgotten, then guys like Tyler, Hayes, or Arthur must have never existed at all.

It's a better title for the video, I suspect. Note that at the beginning of the talk, he called them "often overlooked."

“Japan almost had Hawaii. Think what that would’ve meant for Pearl Harbor.” Well, Bob, it probably means they wouldn’t have bombed it.

The Battle of New Orleans took place 15 days after a peace agreement had been made between the USA & Britain to end the war of 1812, but news hadn’t yet crossed the Atlantic. If the battle had gone the other way would Britain have restarted the war & ‘broken up the United States”? Not likely with Napoleon back on the loose a few weeks later. So the battle was crucial for Jackson’s future career but not for the future of the USA.

The British were winning in the fighting around Mobile but they packed up and went home in accordance with the Treaty of Ghent. The US invaded Canada. Britain's goal was defend Canada and force the US to make peace. The Battle of New Orleans was pointless.

That Merry guy looks to be anything but merry. I wouldn't just not walk on his lawn, I'd go as far as crossing the street.

Merry insults Hillary Clinton randomly, then insults TR biographers while sitting 5 feet away from one. 😅
