I’ve apparently played Sherk 2 on the PS2. I thought what I played was like the PC one but I barely remember playing as we rented it once 10.11.2021

...since you seem to know a decent amount of how this game works, perhaps you'd check out the only Shrek 2 mod ever made,"Shrek 2.1." It fixes a lot of problems with the game, adds new content, more enemies, makes the game "more difficult," etc. I think you'd enjoy playing it :D

The PC version was better than the Ps2, Gamecube, & Xbox version from my opinion. But for it's time any version was fun.

I must say, I love Polish PC version of Shrek 2. We get there original Polish cast from movie. With very good dubbing and jokes, this game was something special for Polish Shrek fans. And because of cultural differences this version was a lot more popular than PS2 one (Well, in Poland there always was more PC gamers, espesially in 90s and early 00s).

Hey hey, I just completed this game not too long ago! The one thing I really don’t like in this game is that you can’t revisit older levels... why, I was expecting there to be some kind of new game plus where after beating the game, you can replay it from the beginning but keep your health upgrades, coins, wanted poster collection but still be able to get them again to go to the bonus stage, and any leftover potions you might have. I felt disappointment when I found out that after beating the game, it doesn’t do that, rather you could only load back into the very last checkpoint the game gives you at the end of the game before the final boss. I was wanting to play this game over and over again just to see how high the coin counter could go up, as well as just for fun, but without having to start a new save file.

Hey I was having the same issue. Try troubleshooting for compatibility issues. The system will automatically change the settings to be compatible with your system (most probably, it'll be windows server pack 3)
