Fun fact: Wensleydale was near bankruptcy when the first Wallace and Gromit was made. They chose it as his cheese because they thought it was funny for him to say. This ended up saving the cheese company.

I love the small detail that in certain lighting, you can see the small pinhole in the center of their eyes that would be used on the IRL claymation model to move the eyes. Obviously not necessary in an animated game, but it gives the characters some their original claymation charm!

Fun fact: if you look closely at the eyes on all the character models, you'll notice a small pin hole in the very centre. This is because the real models also have pin holes in their eyes; this is so the animators can rotate the eyes (by manoeuvring a pin inserted into the holes) without disturbing the rest of the clay model.

It came out in 2009. Telltale didn't make the Walking Dead until 2012, which was when they became more mainstream. They used to make more light-hearted games like this one.

Fun fact: You mention that the voice of Wallace doesn't sound like the original voice actor. Originally, Wallace was voiced by Peter Sallis, who unfortunately died in 2017. This game was released in parts in 2009. In this game, Wallace was voice by Ben Whitehead, who had started working for Aardman in 2005, and in the same year he would become their backup voice for Wallace. Thfirst time his voice was used as Wallace in officially released media however was for this game. In 2010, Peter Sallis retired, which meant the long running show Last of the Summer Wine had to end, but also that he would no longer be voicing Wallace, with his final bit of acting being his performance of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit's World of Inventions, released in 2010. After that, Ben Whitehead took over as the official voice actor for Wallace. I'm the upcoming Wallace and Gromit film, he will be voicing Wallace.

1:02 Peter Sallis (Wallace's original Voice Actor) retired after 2010 and was replaced by Ben Whitehead. That casting choice was by Aardman themselves, not Telltale. It would take him a number of years to match Sallis's performance and now it's all we have since Peter Sallis passed away in 2017

Ayy, I remember this game! A demo came free with a Wallace and Grommit DVD. I eventually decided to check the disk out from the library... and I found out that the game never checks if the disk is in the slot, so I basically got all four chapters for free.

When I was little, I watched one of the Wallace and Grommet movies, and it just so happened to be the one where he became a giant weredog or something like that, which utterly terrified me as a small child and made me have nightmares! 😬 So, RT, know that I am braving one of my early childhood traumas in order to watch your content today!
