Thank you very much, Mr. Terry for producing this and all the other treasures of Westerns on the Web. You do us a great service. Enjoyed this much. Seems a shame the series didn't take off. This was a good story, and the setting of the two travelers had a lot of potential, I would think. I like anything with Edgar Buchanan. He is one of my all-time favorites.

I liked the traveling peddlar idea too; as opposed to the usual gambler, bounty hunter, mobile sheriff/lawman, calvary man, etc.

The only reason this show didn't continue was that Charles Bronson couldn't be in all the episodes of the series. Bronson has that presence even at the early stages of his career.

Guest stars do not "continue" throughout a series. That's why they're called "guest stars." Edgar Buchanan and Carleton Carpenter are the regulars of the show.

This is absolutely fantastic. Thank you for sharing this very rare footage of a young Charles Bronson. He also appeared in an episode of US Marshall as Pvt. 'Guardhouse' Ravenal in S1 E16 "Pursuit" and The Man Behind The Badge S2 E07 "The Case of the Invisible Mark" and also Colt 45 in 1957 S1 E09 "Young Gun". Is there any chance of screening any of these episodes?? Again Many Thanks for a great concept.

Edgar Buchanan, Richard Jaeckel, Charles Bronson, Ellen Corby (Grandma Walton). There's quite a who's who of future stars in this lineup. The only way this ending in Luke and the Tenderfoot makes sense is because we're being shown there's a soft and good side to Luke as well as his shifty peddlar's side. All in all, not bad for a 1954 low-budget tv pilot. The concept of meeting new people and situations every week by being a peddlar is a good one. Too bad the pilot didn't get traction with any sponsors.😢

"Edgar Buchanan,Charles Bronson, Richard Jaeckel and Robert F. Simon were great actors and appeared in many films and TV shows many of them were westerns, but Carleton Carpenter however was only in few films and TV shows he was mainly a stage actor and singer also and he only did a few westerns, the real John Wesley Hardin was more evil than this portrayal of him."-🤠🐴🖥🍺☕🌐..

WOW! A WIN/WIN! A very wise, intelligent western. Some powerful lessons taught for our time of extreme polarization due to hyper-focus perseveration [look it up?]! The U.S.A. needs to [re]gain the divine ability to see things from the view that allows multipronged solutions that will benefit all who are concerned because, GOD LOVEs everybody and wants everybody to be saved and know the Truth![1Timothy2;2Peter3] "LOOK!, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves. Matthew10, 1Corinthians13,1John4,Luke6,Ephesians6 God said to Solomon, "Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask[PRAY] for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked[PRAYED] for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people--2Chronicles1 "The queen of Sheba will stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for she came from a distant land to hear the "wisdom of Solomon". Now SOMEONE greater than Solomon is here--but you refuse to listen...Luke11
