I love your videos cos every single one seems to speak on things where I am at right now! I so appreciate your information. It's cos I can't do much per day that I feel like that: that it's not worth bothering cos it's not enough. You think because you are *so terribly ill* every single day, relentlessly..that those little things won't make a difference. It's so sad how much people need advice and help with this illness regarding their mindset and yet it's just not available. Except here 🎉❤😊 yay 💪

It is mate and that is why so many people get stuck - but we have to do it to heal. It isn’t easy but nothing worth doing is

In a sense initially I had to become quite robotic to action my plans as emotionally I felt very weak. Write a list of things you need to do daily and follow it as best as you can regardless of how you feel. It’s important to be patient with yourself too - you’ve been through a lot and you need to be a good friend to yourself to help through this time.

How can I go back to my past self? How can I regain back the good things about my past self? Can I? Or do I just become a new person after recovery? A particular thing I am struggling with is the lack of negative emotions and empathy towards everything around me. I wish to regain it all back.
@HealthRecovery Жыл бұрын
When you regain your health you will have energy to expend in emotions. I think being numb is a result of a number of things including lack of energy to give. I wouldn’t worry about any of it . Focus on recovery and the rest will follow later

mate like you I have had chronic anxiety for decades before the dreaded ME hit . In your expert opinion do you think the strategy to beat ME is similar to one in order to beat chronic anxiety? I've been listening to Dr Claire Weekes and I see a lot of similarities . If you make an audio book I'd buy it cause I am where you were at 10 years ago
@HealthRecovery Жыл бұрын
I think with a healthy body the anxiety naturally is dialed down to more manageable levels. With anxiety it is also important to be aware of what causes you stress and uncomfortable feelings. I’m not that far off finishing my book and will definitely make it into an audio version
