Wow, this is exactly where I am right now! I recognize everything you say! This helps me so much today :) Also, it makes perfect sense neuroplasticity-wise because we have these ingrained neural pathways that are our "personality", and they will always be there. Only thing we can do is layer on top of them, but it does make sense that we have to practice all the time as to not slip into those old pathways! Some of the important things for me to practice is being "light" and silly and have fun, and being able to do nothing too without stressing about it. But it's so unnatural for me that I have to stay on top of it every day! We can do this - again!! :D

Hello, can you please explain how you made water kefir? Did you drink it almost every day? How much did you drink daily? Have you used any other sources of probiotics besides water kefir? I hope you can answer my questions. Thank you in advance!

Oh yea guys. The b vitamins really help. I think the body runs out of b vitamins trying to remove the gluten. I bought a floradix b vitamins and really got my energy back. No vitamin b1 = no sugar energy into the cells.

Mine all started after an antibiotic. But i think it just made everything worse. I was big on Milk n bran flakes. Once i removed milk it was like a supercharger. Took about 6 months to recover but the first week was unreal lol. The mucus in my system all cleared. But my stomach is still healing slowly 2 years later

I am not ill often, but when I am, I take the opportunity to fall into a state of deep rest. I slow down my thoughts, my movements, what I do in the day, to a speed in which I can notice the emotional stirrings within me. I notice the good feelings that warm me like a fire and use those to help me heal, and I notice the feelings causing me tension and blocking my desires in everyday life, and I release them. It is usually very difficult to slow down this much when I am well, but because of how much I benefit from this, I've been practicing this when I'm well to keep me balanced.

The advice about screens is spot on. You have to be on a computer occasionally, but gettting away from the habit of constantly being on one has helped so much with my depersonalization.

You are speaking my language!!! For years, I studied nutrition, and I am a mind-body nutrition coach. But years ago, I decided that you can’t pump yourself full of supplements and get well until you deal with the mind and the emotional issues!!! That’s where you begin! “The body lives downstream of the soul!” If we were just receptacles of supplements, we could possibly get well, but we are also made of emotions and memories and are affected by our environment whether it be people or TV, etc., anything that stresses you or leaves you in a negative place mentally. We are not robots. Thank you so much for this talk you are a natural as a life coach! 😊❤️

AMEN!!!! When you said you want to be a role model to boys I got excited because I wholeheartedly agree with you that there needs to be more male guidance and role models! Boys are being stripped of their masculinity and being pushed into feminizing. Men and women are different creatures and I personally have been wishing from the bottom of my heart to see more men step up and be who they naturally are meant to be. Thank you so much for being straightforward! I also think you would be a great life coach. I am a life coach/mind/body. I naturally gravitated to this area, but I took training through the Institute for the psychology of Eating. Founder Marc David. It has been a perfect fit for me. I’ve loved the study of Nutrition but above that I have been passionate about the mind and heart issues and this training blew my mind! People that come to you think it’s about food and losing weight, etc.. But it is about the mind, the heart, the soul, because all of that affects everything you put into your mouth and the way you think and unresolved issues that affect the health of the body. One of Marc David’s quotes “The body lives downstream of the soul (heart, mind, will, emotions)”. This is a quote that I live with and is forever attached to my mind and heart. It is what drives me. It’s easy to see that you are made to be a life coach! I have received some needed coaching, and I have greatly benefited from listening to you. Thank you and please continue. 😊❤

JAMES, did you have CFS or AFS? I know many of the symptoms are similar but I want to thank you for your straightforward advice for AFS. I think it will help me to change some things in my recovery from AFS. not many people understand AFS and the medical community doesn’t recognize it most of the time. It is very miserable because it changes your whole life. And you really can’t explain it to people very well and so you have to live with being misunderstood about why you aren’t more involved like it used to be. It requires extreme patience for recovery. Again thank you so much. You are helping very many people to be encouraged. That recovery is definitely possible.

Great video. I just don't sleep at all anymore and my body literally can't take it anymore. Interested to know what helped you during phases of extreme insomnia. Medication seems like the only path left. I try and stay as calm and as positive as possible but not sleeping is just contraproductive and I feel like overall it's doing more harm than good

I can tell that we both have a very similar mindset, one I only recently adopted after my health took a turn and I realised I had some serious changes to make. This video really resonates with me and put into words what I've been thinking about. I've watched a few of your other videos too and you feel like a breath of fresh air, like somebody finally gets it, and it gives me a lot of hope. My CFS is the worst it's been for the last two years I've had it, and I'm not going to let it get any worse. I'll share some of your videos as I really believe people need to be hearing this :) thank you for putting in the time and effort for so many years

Hi James, I have been struggling with agoraphobia and social anxiety for years. My issue is that I live with my parents in a building with doormen. This makes it much harder to go outside because the doormen know I don’t have a job and live at home. This makes my fear of going out stronger. The longer I stay inside the more embarrassing it is to go out, because they know I’ve just been inside for weeks. It’s a cycle I’m having a hard time breaking out of. What should I do?

Thank you for this one. I still have a flip phone, and use my lap top...just me, that's how I roll and my kids, grandkids and friends know. I just have to say I love the idea of following what your dog did to aid in recovery. I had heard years ago to be like a cat, nap periodically, play at least once a day, and when you wake up stretch and give your body some movement. Love that! You are a great fellow and a great dad! Thank you for your hard work at your recovery so you can encourage those of us on the journey.
