I grew up as the son of a sharecropper with no running water or ac until I was grown. I worked on the farm full time from before daylight until after dark starting when I was 8 until I was grown. Walked many miles to school where almost no library existed and absolutely none in the community. I worked my way through college after having done factory work for several years. Yet I am told I am the beneficiary of white privilege. I was privileged in the fact I had good health and had learned a good work ethic. How else my whiteness benefitted me I have yet to discover. Young people today want immediately what it took me many years to obtain, all in the name of equity. That is B. S. pure and simple.

Very respectful and articulate disagreement. I loved their agreement on the nihilistic disenchantment with life of the hyper progressives. As a millennial, I dislike there insistence that we all think the same way.

One can still go as far as their determination will take them. What is the alternative? We know there is not way to guarantee equal outcomes. To attempt to do so destroys incentive and will equalize at a lower level than what meritocracy will produce.
