So great to find someone who understands the soil-regenerative aspect of the carnivore diet! Those vast fields of soy, corn, and wheat are what is harming our health and our soil, not herds of ruminants.

Day 17 just started for me. Grass fed Entrecote, ground veal/beef/Lamb, 6-10 eggs a day, salmon/trout, liver and a bit of chicken. Cook everything in ghee or grass fed butter. I do still drink coffee though. I eat 2 or 3 times a day depending on my day as I work in shifts which makes it all a bit tougher. I feel good, my body, stomach and liver seem to have adjusted to the diet now and I wanna stick to it for 2 to 3 months
@guibox34 жыл бұрын
I am at the spices carnivore level with no dairy except grass fed butter (and I still have coconut oil and MCT oil with stevia in my coffee).and moving on to the flexible one in a few weeks time.

I lost 14 lbs in a little over 2 weeks mostly following this. I started with just eggs and seafood then slowly added chicken and others as I was coming off of whole food plant based. ( which was more trickery than anything I ever been on) I was able to lose weight slowly while I was active. Fast forward to the lockdown a blew up just from less activity and same diet. . Not the diet for me. Also made my breast gigantic even Before the weight gain I guess maybe too much phytoestrogens . But do you have to omit all vegetables everyday? I love broccoli, mixed greens etc with my protein .
@crystala28344 жыл бұрын
And is it normal to be so achy at first? . My back. Cramps etc but this did happen worse when first on plant based I guess just a shock to the body
@ColinStuckert4 жыл бұрын
Yes totally normal. If you think about the detoxing your body is doing from things like phytates and oxalates, this is pretty common stuff. Some people get a rash and your digestive tract def has to adapt. As far as veggie go, test and find the ones your body responds to best. A carnivore diet is a diet comprised of mostly animal products. Don’t let anyone fool you with the typical diet dogma of it having to be all or nothing. Your best diet is the diet you can build around your biology and that is sustainable.

I raise meat rabbits which taste like chicken breast, we describe it as looking like white meat, but scientifically it’s actually a red meat. High in nutrients that beef is lower in, great complement to beef as they each fill the gaps in the other.

Hi, I went to keto-carnivore accidentally almost 6 months ago and it was amazing- I had so much energy. I felt revitalised and I had so much clarity, my mental health was also much better. I want to go back to it, I’m wondering whether I have to do an elimination diet when I’ve pretty much done one when I was keto & I have IBS so I’ve cut out many grains, vegetables and fruit. Now, I’m well again I don’t want to eat foods like carbs, sweet stuff just meat, animal fats and specific fruits/ vegetables. Would you suggest I start flexible carnivore and not pure carnivore? I want this long-term and don’t think I’d enjoy pure carnivore.
@mikkocruz93314 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this! I couldn’t follow the #1 for even 2 weeks. I failed on the 13th day. I didn’t know that what I’m doing right now is the #4. I really can’t abandon potato and broccoli. But still, my main food source is Beef and fish. I don’t eat chicken and pork anymore. Can’t handle the taste of pork. I just add salt, pepper and soy sauce on the beef, throw it in the grill, then I’m good to go. Doing OMAD.

I have been doing carnivore for 3 months and have lost 34lbs. I am finding that I lose a lot and then I stop losing for several weeks. Why is that? Is this normal? I have to say, I have had stomach issues for quite sometime, I lost my gallbladder 2.5 years ago and my appendix 6 months after that. Because of those surgeries my Dr. Thinks I now have mild gastroparesis. Nothing has helped...AT ALL, until I stopped eating everything except meat. I can’t believe how good I feel. No stomach issues at all.
@ColinStuckert4 жыл бұрын
Yes totally normal. Your body tries to maintain homeostasis, so every pound of fat you lose it becomes harder to lose more. Give it time and your body will adjust!

The "megafauna to extinction all over the planet" statement is completely false, Colin. In North America it was the Younger Dryas event (12,900-11,700yrs ago) - that's not even up for debate. Over time those numbers replenished and the plains and prairies were teeming with Buffalo and Bison (30 million) right up until just 150yrs ago. In North Africa/south Asia, there's compelling evidence for a devastating meteor strike that caused tsunamis and severe, rapid flooding in that region which also affected the megafauna populations dramatically. Our ancestors most certainly did not hunt them to extinction. That's a theory that holds no water in light of new evidence. I appreciate your channel however you need to be factual in this space. There's already too much static on offer. Cheers.
@ColinStuckert4 жыл бұрын
Completely false? How many species do we not even know about that died off long ago? Where are the giant sloths and mammoths and mastodons? North America vs other areas require a different consideration. And humans contributed to hunting off certain big game species in addition to climate pressure, sure. But to say it's completely false is false. There are plenty of species that have been thinned to near extinction as a result of humans actively hunting them or simply overtaking large swaths of territory and putting environmental pressure that way.
