The Fourth Dimension

The début release by Grolsch Film Works and VICE Films brings together an immersive trilogy by Harmony Korine, Alexsei Fedorchenko and Jan Kwiecinski. The three filmmakers have created three unique stories that offer up their vision of this higher plane of existence, the Fourth Dimension. Each filmmaker takes his character on a journey that changes the way they see the world and themselves. And each filmmaker will offer a different perspective on what the Fourth Dimension is.

The funniest part was Val's sugar pill for is audience. He told them several times he could help them. He had them so pumped up that they were dancing around chatting cotton candy. But at what point, did Val give them substance or good advice, which would really help them improve. However, his time with the young gal totally said everything about how he is so successful. By watching his actions you could see that he just listened & learned about a different way of life & he gain acceptance.

I liked the first one because I enjoy Harmony Korine's take on things... his film played so well into the "real or fake" aspect described in the intro. The other two were good as well, I just love how overt and simple the concept was on face in the first film. Visually all three were great.

The first dimension is the line. You need two dots to define a line. The second dimension is the plane. You need two numbers to identify a point on a plane. On a plane you can find the distance between two points by drawing a line. Space is the third dimension. You need three numbers to determine the distance of an object in space. Space time is the fourth dimension. It requires four numbers to place a dot in space-time. 3 for the spacial position, and one for the time.

The 1st one with Val Kilmer is hilarious! But here's my summary of what the 1st film is saying the 4th dimension. The 4th dimension is faith. Val Kilmer is the preacher and the residence of the town that are at the community center are the attendees of the church. The whole point is to show what faith looks like without religion.
