the protagonist reminds me of Jack Nicholson's bad boy attitude. Though he's not quite as good as Nicholson. Sort of half way. Frankly the plot is altogether kind of insulting, if you care about Buddhism at all, or indeed meditation, although entertaining. In any case as for training meditation, sitting exactly in front of someone, within smelling distance, is completely inappropriate and unhelpful under the circumstances. Further, someone who has not gotten used to sitting cross legged, they should just be comfortable in a chair where they can sit up straight but not get into a tangle with their joints at hip, knee, etc.
