I found this almost as boring as it is confusing. I have no idea what the boyfriend was talking about when he said he couldn't go to NY with Sophie because of Harry Pleasant having run over his own daughter in the car that the boyfriend now drives. WTF!? The acting was great, but the editing is bad, and the story moves much too slowly. This is a time-waster.

Just after 1:32:08, it totally mutes for several seconds. And at a very crucial part in the dad's suicide. All we hear are crickets, but the daughter's head is moving (so she is talking) and by the mother's expressions, she is being told something we are not hearing. It sort of ruined the whole movie for me.
