Coincidently, another burglar, who did the same in the '70s and nicknamed _Raffles_ was charged with burgling five stately homes, found guilty on all five charges and was sentenced to five life sentences! Wormwood Scrubs prison. Wore a Rolex watch, (Governor's Dispensation), and was held in the highest regard by staff and inmates alike. Art imitating life in cycles.

So the Fox is an anthropomorphic creature who lures in theives with his expensive taste in finer things, then uses that same expensive taste as a trap for those who prey on both the rich and the poor. He even shapeshifts. Fascinating! No wonder it's at the top of my list! Reminds me of this book I used to read a very long time ago. The Anthromorphs, I think it was called.
