The exhaust fan below the PSU is an easy install, the trick is to pull the cables b/w the psu and mb. I have a ziptie pulling up and have a 15mm noctua installed wiithout a grill. Works just fine. It's a must if you have a 4090 like I do. Also, read the manual man! The whole gpu bracket comes out of the case, you don't have to faff around with the screws at an angle. My 4090 runs at low 70s in 4k, and mid to high 60s in 1440.

With a reference 7900 XT you have 70mm of space for CPU cooler, either Scythe Big Shuriken 3, Noctua NH-L12S or the Thermalright AXP120-X67 would be much better. Also the side panels lift up from the bottom and you have a lever you slide to remove the side panel, you don't need to push the front and rear panels apart. Custom cables are basically a must if you want a bottom mounted fan. If you actually read the manual they tell you to remove the GPU mount and mount the graphics card to the mount and reinstall in the case.

If you are looking at getting into budget ITX the Hyte Revolt 3 has been bouncing between 110-130 usd recently with a 700 watt sfx psu. At 110 usd its a great deal. It has a space for up to 280 aio but it holds the down draft coolers with most budget cpus fine and you and run two 120 or 140mm fans to keep it cool. And it doesn't need a video card adapter.

Great vid Centric! (Some advice for those new to ITX building) The Terra is certainly a beautiful design, unfortunately I feel as though form has overtaken function a bit too much, the restriction on cooling options is a bit disappointing considering you can get a 240mm radiator in a FormD T1 (Which is the same volume). Having said that though, you don't need (I repeat, DON'T need) the highest end components these days to have an awesome gaming experience on PC, the more budget builds with this current gen (Plus great future upgradeability) are still very capable 1440p machines and with that, thermals shouldn't be an issue provided everything has been installed correctly. PS, cable management is CRUCIAL for ITX builds, if you can afford to pay for either shorter and more flexible power cables, please do so as this will reduce the internal air restrictions within your ITX chassis and allow air to move more freely which will both reduce thermals and noise levels, plus you may not need as powerful CPU cooler or even potentially run a more powerful CPU with the same cooler. There's a lot more to it, but I feel like I've said enough.. x'D
@SpeedBall95 Жыл бұрын
What cooler would you use in a FormD T1 I’m looking to build a itx gaming pc and I’d really like something in this form factor
@AxleLotl Жыл бұрын
@jessemoreau95 Glad you asked, I personally have two FormD T1's, both sandwich V2.1's. The cooler needed is based on your CPU and GPU as the T1 can be customised. Ryzen CPU's are very power efficient and need very little cooling during gaming. A noctua L9x low profile cooler would be enough for every Ryzen except 7950x and 7900x since they're above 120w tdp's. Combine this with two noctua NF-A12x25's as your top exhaust and you'll never have thermal issues. Phanteks T30's are advised for exhaust if you're using a 4080/4090 however.
