Looking back this video again, this Dendritica seems vivid and thick compare to the usual "Ponape" we get in North America, the growth of mine is less colorful (same color), thinner, more compact and received around 180ppfd so perhaps it receive too much light, will do experiment in the future, quite interesting to watch this video again. I would avoid any dipping, especially oil base.

Love your work Ania and your enthusiasm and knowledge keeps me watching. Thanks for sharing the chalice experiment. I have a rather large one that needs a trim and now I know to get a mouth in the frag
@GalleryAquaticaTV4 жыл бұрын
simmo56able hi! Cheers. I wouldn’t believe it myself without trying this. Of course in reality I believe we would need to make thousands of frags of each treatment to accumulate the right data to prove it correctly. Still, I feel it’s enough information to indicate it’s much more successful to frag with a mouth!

I've always loved Seriatopora - can't keep it - my acros look good... but now my second one seems to be STNing and there's not much left. This is super helpful. I'm gonna move the bird of paradise frag back to the front corner of the tank - I don't think there was enough light there before but I have increased my lighting since then. This is super helpful - Ania is a burst of sunshine If I ever move back to Oz I am putting my name down on the list. That first bird of paradise with the green looks like JF's Enchanted Forest - Wish I could get that in Europe. I'm not surprised with the chalice results - when you did that I was like "surely they can't survive without a mouth". I'm surprised you were surprised... so much so that when you said you were shocked by the results I thought you would say the ones without the mouth had done better. Another great video

Ania, awesome video as always. I've been asking around what is the real Birds of Paradise and the is no consensus :) To make it even more confusing, there is a third one, that has the shape of a hystrics and the colours of a Dentritica. I bought as a Dentritica, but have seen people selling it as Birds of Paradise. Have you seen this one?

Franklin Dattein hmmm. Is it kind of like a “Ponape”?

Love all your uploads. What’s your opinion on using quick set spray for the glue? I love the stuff and it makes things so much easier for me.
@GalleryAquaticaTV4 жыл бұрын
Ryan’s Reef 👋 G’day! Thanks for the great question. I have never used that quick set spray, I wonder what it’s chemical composition is! Do your LFS sell it? Because we definitely don’t have that available here. But there are similar products to set nail polish and paint faster so it’s definitely something I have thought about before.
@rc2300s2r4 жыл бұрын
Gallery Aquatica TV my LFS does sell it and I also get it online from BRS( Bulk Reef Supply) her in the states. The one I use is from BSI. Once you use it you’ll never go back. 😁 www.bulkreefsupply.com/insta-set-super-glue-accelerator-bob-smith-industries.html
