@@brandon5599 not a dumb question at all. I am part of the Calguns.net online forum and I contacted a Local Gun Store (LGS) in Thousand Oaks and paid through there. Alternately, most people went to the Franklin Armory website to pay the deposit. You have to register on their website first, of course. A third option is to call a few LGS around your area and ask if they are accepting deposits for the Title 1. Not all LGS are familiar with it though.

JonD I think what we're waiting for, if I'm not mistaken is for DOJ to make a drop down option for "other" in their system as far as I'm concerned. All we have in CA when dros comes in play regarding registration is : rifle, ("assault weapon" you don't want that option) long gun or shot gun. They need to update their system so we can have our Title1 "firearm" under "other" 👍

in reality that would take a competent IT guy about 30 or less seconds. In REALITY.....I'm not sure anyone here caught Reno May's recent video on the California DOJ but they have their own video out showing how bitchen they are going after people who have guns who shouldn't. If those are the people we're trusting to get an "other' drop down on their computer system.........Let's just put it this way. I'll put my deposit down on one of these in a few years, and I'll probably STILL have to wait a few more years to get the damned thing. We'll probably get the AWB overturned by that time and by then all this talk will be moot!
