Once a law is passed it is very difficult to get it repealed or overturned. This is why bad laws accumulate over time. One solution to this problem would be to require sunset dates on all laws. Each time a law expired it would either have to go through the whole process of being passed again in either its current form or a new form or it would lapse. This would keep legislators busy reviewing laws previously passed so that they would have less time to pass new bad laws.

As a high school kid, I found out that "silencers" were required on both car and motorcycle exhausts, no tax stamps required. While silencers will not suppress the sonic boom of bullets exceeding the speed of sound, they will tone down somewhat the muzzle blast of rifles and contribute to hearing protection along with earplugs and muff style hearing protectors.

Unfortunately the defendant was indigent, the attorney in the case was pro Bono and therefore didn't follow the case to the Supreme Court where where BATF and DOJ lied about the specifics of what constituted military weapons at the time which included Short barreled shotguns. They had in fact been used in trench warfare in World War I. I would like to see more of these cases springboard from the reasoning that decided US versus Miller, i.e. that any weaponry used commonly by the military is what the 2nd amendment covers and therefore should be available to the average citizen

This video is BS!!! They claim that silencers dosnt make a weapon quiet, that it still make a loud bang. But what if they use SD ammo?? You know, like it was intended. A gun makes 2 bangs when fired. The first is the explosion that propels the bullet. that is the one that the silencers dampen. The second is the sonic boom when the bullet passes the speed of sound. Thats where the SD ammo (silencer ammo/sound dampening) comes in. By putting less gunpowder in the cartridge, the bullet does not break the sound barrier thats causing the second bang. It makes the bullet penetration weaker, but it depends on the size of the bullet. I had a rifle cal 22 with a silencer, and i used 22 SD ammo.(i live in Norway, so im not sure if SD ammo is allowed in the US). But when i fired my rifle, all i heard was the click of the trigger mechanism. I fired 5 rounds at a bullseye target. At first i thought that there was something wrong with my ammo, but when i checked my target, there were 5 holes. Of course a larger bullet would mean a bigger bang, but how much? And by the way, when i used regular ammo, it made a big bang,as big as a 22 makes of course (the silencer dampens the bang a little). However, i do think that the SD ammo of a 22 is strong enough to kill a man if you hit him in the head.

I RARELY watch a single video that educates so much. I feel humbled. I am 64, currently working in the industry as an instructor, armorer and builder. You are young enough to be my grandson, and I am humbled by your research and knowledge and presentation. So grateful for your video. I have been subbed for a while now.

Everyday in the US over 17 people are killed in car accidents. That statistic has not changed in over 40 years. About 6 of those 17 will be someone under the age of 20. Not only that, but over 6,200 people per day will be injured and of those over 790 will suffer permanent injuries due to car accidents. In fact, if you are over 18 and reading this, you have about a 1 in 4 chance of knowing someone in high school who died in a car accident. I do. My mother does. My grandparents both had classmates who died in car accidents. When was the last time you heard what I've written from "compassionate" and "caring" politicians and journalists?

we all agree silencers should be legal, but that might be the dumbest argument i've seen in years

@@CurtHowland That’s right because we have lost our country. But the real truth is that we lost it before any of us were born. If you research this you will find that it is now the Corporation of the United States of America. All lawyers, judges, and politicians know this. And all citizens are property of said government.
