there still would have been a war because the main cause came from the Soviet Union and communism and not from Germany.
@enricofermi3471 Жыл бұрын
Interestingly, the @blue dot has some reasoning. WW2 served to temporarily discharge the accumulated tensions between the dirty commies and capitalist pigs, as they had to concentrate on a common problem, and later on, when the conflict arouse once again, it was already a nuclear era, so neither dared to advance in full, choosing to inspire local conflicts in small countries to increase dominance and politically pressure opponents. It is very likely that if there was no WW2 as we know it, in the 50s, maybe 60s, a world war would still happen, this time between USSR and USA. War with nazi Germany inspired rapid and significant advancement in a wide range of weapons and weapon-related technology, but also medicine and some other areas of science. If it didn't happen, the nuclear bombs might only be in the process of theoretical development by the time a conflict would arise, resulting in first years being more of a classic WW2-style warfare, first nukes getting tested and applied in warfare a year or two into the conflict, more and more as the time passed and more were made. Basically, see RedAlert video game, but full serious mode, without any goofy jokes and "hilarity of war".
