Two tips from owing my two year old fawn male. . . Franchise do in fact fart alot, and it can clear a room for sure. Add a tablespoon of plain yogurt to their food and it really helps. My guys farting reduced by 95%. Also many Frenchies get poop stuck on their butts. Just add a tablespoon of canned pumpkin in their food just like the yogurt and mix it all together. Also worked perfectly. Life is good!

Its usually there food .my boy max didn't smell. Had to grab him some food tried pedigree man smelled so bad. Switch to blue wilderness smell no more .and he eats half as much. Good stuff a little pricey but like I said he eat half as much small bag 11 pounds last about 1 and a half months

My frenchie farts while he sleeps and it smells like someone had too many boiled eggs and had an upset stomach after that.I literally have to try and get that awful smell away from the area we're sitting in, the snoring isn't THAT bad.

the snoring is completely dependent on each french bulldog. my frenchie’s face isn’t as smashed in as a lot of other french bulldogs, sadly. thankfully he doesn’t really snore, or have abnormal breathing problems.

I wish my Lolli was like this but NOT. She is very loyal and is playful and loving with my family and that’s all. She is very aggressive towards other dogs, cats and she doesn’t know how to go about a meeting new people. She also is bigger boned and muscular than your average French bulldog, so she intimidates a lot of animals and humans. However, she is my partner in crime and a bodyguard for me in this day and age. I know her quirks and I just deal with them as best I can, because I ♥️ her . We rescued her at the age of three, she was a breeder dog and I took her the way she is, no regrets.She’s now 7 years and going strong....

Lolli seems like a very loyal and sweet dog , her aggression towards people could be as result of the bad treatments from his former owners . I'm happy you rescued Lolli and gave her a new family but this time one that really deserves a dog cos not all homes deserve a dog . Thanks for giving Lolli the best day of her life Shelly.

Frenchies tire quickly? Aha - I have watched after a frenchie and it dragged me up an incline next to a field almost as fast as I could keep up running. Same with running after a fast bicyclist. It only stopped because the bicyclist stopped. Also, had him over the summer and he had no trouble being outside walking fast three times a day for 1.5-2 hrs each.

Can be a wheat allergy. I feed mine food with no grain. Look under its fur. Until my vet showed me, my frenchy was itchy but had these raw painful red rashs(hot spots). I would have NEVER known it was there but he was super itchy. He gave me a medicated shsmpoo which took them away. Could also be heat too. Try keeping them inside on hot days literally quick walks. If its in the toes it could be hot spots also. Honestly mine has crazy health problems. If your giving it human food totally stop. That can help too. Hope that helps.

I give my Frenchie high quality food and also a squirt of pure salmon oil twice a week on her kibble. She was very itchy and had flaky skin, but better food and the salmon oil worked.

Frenchies tend to have quite some allergies. Get an allergie test at a vet to know which food ingredients to avoid.

Would this get along with the following dogs Rottweiler, German Shepard, and a golden retriever? They’ll all pups and have been along very well which I was kinda surprised about. They’ll getting trained good too. I found a good breeder who selling some pups for a decent price and I’ve been wanting one but don’t know who it’ll do. Thanks

Could be many reasons but common ones I've found are as mentioned earlier walk them with a harness not a collar,frenchies like to pull and a collar pulls around there salivary glands often leading to problems and bills,and of course the problems associated with there short snouts,one being there giddy attitude can lead them to burn more oxygen than they can replenish

It could be that he has allergies. You didn't give any specific symptoms that could be helpful for pinning down a diagnosis. My Pekinese has terrible allergies, but my vet said to give him three cc's of children's benadryl, and it has really helped him. I would suggest taking him to he vet, but benadryl won't hurt him at such a low dose so if you wanted to try it on your own you could. Pekingese are also a short snouted dog and roughly the same size as a Frenchie, so the dose should be close for a Frenchie. Use a syringe to give it to him by mouth, and fill it to the number 3. Hope this helps your sweetheart like it did mine.

My daughters frenchie is a sweet girl. But the issues associated with the breed is numerous.. she has surgery already for the breathing at 6 months old. Her farting is horrendous. She swallows rawhides whole then vomits and eats it,she eats the other dogs poop and has chewed all the wood furniture and moldings in the house. She goes insane when someone arrives at the house. Her eyes and ears need to be cleaned almost everyday.. Although many of these issues will pass with puppy hood, there are still way to many. She's now in heat because she had to delay spaying and it's not good😖oh and cant forget the shedding.I love dogs but this is a tough breed

Its one of the better hairtypes for people with allergies yes. I dont know how you do around other dogs that could be a good reference Maybe.

@@realliteit8869 I had heard that dogs with less hair create more dander. Reason being. They have dry skin and it comes off the skin and goes everywhere versus dogs with medium hair like a pitbull where it's not as bad. I was never allergic this way when I had my pit years ago versus now that I have my frenchie running around everywhere.

@@jennifertrevino8004 this breed has fur. All breeds with fur are not hypoallergenic. Breeds that have hair like a poodle are hypoallergenic. That is why so many dogs are mixed with poodles to cut down on allergies and shedding. There are several breeds like the poodles. Do a search for hypoallergenic dog breeds for info on these.

Sometimes not good with children or other pets... we have had bully's for 20 years they often bond to one or two people. Some bullies are done away with because people dont trust them with their small children... A lovely little stubborn race though! Do allot of research!!

Im talking abouth french bulldogs of course max...I still stand with what i said earlyer if you look on french bulldog Facebook groups you will see a lot of (french) bullies up for adoption because they dont deal very well with not being number one in the house. Mike Ter Weijden How the French bulldog acts all comes down to the owner. So if you have had “problems” with your frenchie. It’s most likely what you’re doing wrong. I have 2 French bulldogs & never had a problem with other dogs or kids.

Every video on KZbin , every blog on a website says a French bulldog behaves exceptionally well with children. So this whole notion about you seeing a lot of Frenchies are up for adoption because they don’t behave well with children or other dogs is false information. But I’m sorry you’ve come across bad experiences for you to have this opinion about such a lovely breed.

I can't say I know the correct weight but I'm around a lot of frenchies and most are widest at the back end of there ribs and slim from ribs to hips. Again only what I've seen but they all seem to be pullers almost like they come from sled dogs,huskies or something 😂 hence the beautiful shoulders and chest
