Just watched your video. I am dedicated to stopping my boy from biting. So far he has bitten me, my husband, my neighbor's testicles which is quite concerning. But we have managed to get him to stop hanging off our bullmastiffs face. We do notice he is calmer after walks, but it's a little more difficult to exercise both our dogs in the summer here as the temperature reaches 40°c and above. I have taken your advice on board and will be implementing these new techniques. Thank you for taking the time to create this video. Much appreciated. Will be following your channel from now on. Best wishes.

Thank you so very much...I have just escaped from a puppy biting frenzy. I will immediately change to your method. I have had dogs always and I never have been much of a leader, more a "we can all work together on this" style...Not great. But in the end we have always worked it out if a bit laissez faire But this time will be different. I am a lot older and I need to have my dog more under control.

Desperate help. Just got 10 month frenchy. Gets on well with wife, originally not me growling etc but i gave him food and he calmed and all is good. The issue i now have is he keeps growling and sometimes goes skits at my 10 year old daughter who is now scared of him. He's clearly protecting wifey and fine once daughter is in bed with us, but its difficult to get through the door.

Have a 9 month old pedigree frenchie in the family, he’s golden 90% of the time but is food aggressive and bites when trying to put a collar or harness on for walks. Sometimes he shows his heckles for no apparent reason too, please advise
@braddegan74033 жыл бұрын
Hi Benn, I'm in the same boat. Did you resolve?
@bennvenables10283 жыл бұрын
@@braddegan7403 in the process yes, we started by hand feeding him and reassuring him when he kicks off instead of attempting to discipline him, really helped with his anxiety and with regards to the collar we took him somewhere he wasn’t familiar with (somewhere he has things to focus on and not his negative association with his collar) and he’s miles better with that too. He does still get hyper alert from time to time but I sharp NO seems to reset him and make him settle down also started click training recently which has the same effect, resets him back to being normal. He was safe guarding toys etc for a while but he had like 1000 toys so took them away and left him with a few and he no longer guards them. Routines seem to really help too. Hope this helps in some way, please let me know how you get on!

My dog was the same wanting to bite anything and anyone and i fixed him in a 2 week period and that was everytime he wanted to bite i put hot english mustard in his mouth and at the end of the day if he thought about it he sure didn't because he knew what would happen and now he is a good Pit Bull
@keliharris88548 ай бұрын
😡 that’s terrible! All you’re doing is instilling fear in your animal and a fearful animal is a dangerous animal, especially with a pitbull terrier.
@raiderssmcnz8 ай бұрын
@keliharris8854 sorry my dog has no fear and is very protective of the family I have had it since it was a pup and its now 10 years old I also own three other pit bulls and they so friendly they would lick you to death before hurting you

What about if it’s a rescue whos a year and a half…he’s been resource guarding and he seems to double down when I correct…bruised me really good that time…broke skin twice before that…I’m trying to structure our relationship better but he also doesn’t feel safe here because he’s been so destabilized from being rehomed as well as his old home was unstable…he doesn’t even want to play with the toys just gets possessive over it…and my change in energy to saying no firmly he clamps down more and then his body language gets more stiff and eyes get wider…I don’t want to stress him anymore but also don’t want to let him think this behaviour gets him his outcome.
@keliharris88548 ай бұрын
Have you tried hand feeding him? My frenchie was a runt and he scarfed his food down as fast as possible like it was going to run out of his bowl. He was only three months old, but I wanted to curb the food aggression before it started so I hand fed him for like the first two weeks that I had him. And then I changed him to a bowl that force him to eat slower, but now I can stick my hand right in his bowl while he has his face in it, and I don’t have to worry about him biting me.

I have a frenchie and I try to take her out for a walk. I have to physically pick her up and take her outside. I put a leash on her and she refuses to move. She lays on the floor. After 20 min I put her back in the house. While in the house she breaks all the kids toys. I don’t know how to get her to walk. Any advice?

Good advice gents. But video needs to be 7 minutes not 15 minutes. This comes off like a group training session, lots of repeating to instill the method however It would suit the audience more to give advice for multiple dog ages rather than just puppies. Many folks acquire dogs later or find themselves as a new addition to a family with a rambunctious Frenchie. Might be time for a script. The worst vice is advice:) but I appreciate the series so just trying to help it get better. Cheers and thanks again.

One question, should I use a collar or not? I heard collars are bad for frenchies
@XMisuzu4 жыл бұрын
You can exercise him with playing and with mind games. I just walk at places where no other dogs are tho. I use a harness for our puppy cause a collar can hurt their throat. He means you need to build a bond with your puppy where he finds safety with you and leans on to you for guidance and directions

This guy is jibbering on and on. Heres the answer... To stop puppies biting, teach them .. "NO!" A quick pinch of the neck (like a mummas nip) and a growl in a low voice. "NO!" Mumma nips and growls in a low tone to keep its pups in check. You need to mimic that! Its that simple! Do that over and over until it's learnt. You're welcome!
@humancentered3447 Жыл бұрын
Ya when the dog is ripping chunks of flesh out of your hands arms and feet and you’re bleeding all over the place, you aren’t going to just stand up and say no. The dog keeps attacking over and over. Hardly a time to just back away and stand there.
