Got these last year. Great high and distance. Easy to hit and they really go. Have the 4-pw graphite shaft. I’m a senior and gained back some lost yardage. Recommend them.

@@GolfNorthWalesChannel your holding that golf iron the wrong way … your right hand should be lower than your left on the grip.

I noticed you use a left hand low grip on your full shots. I would like to hear more about that: why do you use it and it’s advantages and what type of golfer that might also benefit from that grip.
@GolfNorthWalesChannel3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I’d say it’s a massive hindrance rather than a benefit! Many coaches simply don’t know how to approach a player with a dodgy grip other than just changing it! If I could dedicate enough time to changing to playing left handed I would. However, young family means I’m sticking with my not so conventional grip for a while 🤣

Left hand low....a guy at my course use to play that way and hit it straight down the middle every time, just not very far. Have took the leap and ordered these 4-PW, can hit woods fine but very short on irons distances, hope these help me have a little more confidence.....Great video, down to earth fellas....I just subscribed. Cheers from southern USA.

Interested if he still plays and struggles nowerdays? I’ve played with players at county level (uk) who play left hand low and did it extremely well but all comment how it gets a little harder when your not as nimble 🙈 Hopefully these bad boys will help you launch your irons just like your woods! These things Ooze confidence behind the ball it just takes a man (or woman) with no ego to accept they’ll help so I take my hat off for that! Thanks very much my guy! Haven’t been so active over the winter months (uk weather = poop) but hoping to have some more interesting stuff in the future!

@@GolfNorthWalesChannel Unfortunately he's in poor health, (back)....and hasn't played for a year. He loved the game, too.....always hate to see someone miss playing that really enjoyed it. I'll keep watching to see how Scott gets on with his. I've got my clubs but cold weather has kept me off the course so far. I've never been a digger and enjoy hitting hybrids, so I'm optimistic. Wanted to also thank you for mentioning how the clubs felt in the video....I've also played blades in the past and know good feel from bad...lol

Great video chaps, no golf club snobbery. I was only a recreational golfer when I used to play after work and these clubs would have being the bees knees. I could only claim to be a mediocre ball striker at the best of times and only have played with second hand clubs but as you say you could buy a new set Cleveland HB Turbo's for the price of a set of S/H branded irons. I would love to have swipe with the 6 iron at the driving range with the wind on my back. Now subscribed to watch your progress with the Clevelands.
@GolfNorthWalesChannel3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Malc! Golf Snobbery is a big big no no when it comes to us! We’re happy playing with 50hc, scratch HC, £10 clubs, £10,000 clubs providing everyone who’s involved has a big smile on their face and doesn’t take themselves too seriously! It’s a shame more golfers can’t see the benefit in friendlier clubs! We know ourselves that not playing often enough means your ball striking somewhat suffers! We’re hoping to see Scott’s ball striking come back to an acceptable level with the help of his Cleveland’s (as although we enjoy bullying him for the shanks, we do also want to see him playing his best again)

I play single length irons usually. I bought a second hand set of the previous model for my wife. I was surprised how easily I adapted to these irons . I used these on a course I was unfamiliar with and scored an 80 round. ( handicap 12) . Previously I could not hit a 3, 4 or 5 iron very well.
@GolfNorthWalesChannel3 жыл бұрын
How’d you find single length!? That’s another option Scott has long considered! Solid score on any course especially one you weren’t familiar with! Class set of irons for any golfer who’s ego isn’t bigger than their game!
@kymstock18523 жыл бұрын
@@GolfNorthWalesChannel I tried a used set of Cobra F7 single length with Stiff shafts. I liked them, except the 4 iron was hard for me to launch at high 70’s mph iron swing speed. I swapped to Cobra F9 5 to GW regular flex. Same issue with 22 degree 5 iron. Too low launch angle and I found that I didn’t get on with them in general. I bought a set of Milford golf SL7 with graphite regular shafts;much better and about half the price of a Cobra set. The SL 7 set has weaker lofts , so I found I was better off with a set from 6 iron(29) to GW (50). I tried Cobra SL hybrids at 19, 22and 25 degrees. As much as I love the F9 19 hybrid, I am about to replace it with a 7 wood on non windy days to get more consistent carry distances. I have added a Tour Edge 29 degree iron- wood as a replacement for the SL 6 iron too. The advantage of SL irons is that all ball positions are the same for all the irons, as is the swing plane, so once I get inside 150 m of the green I can reliably get my shots to land pin high and on a good day close to the middle of the green.

Nice to see someone with a real knowledge of their game in this way! And also open & honest with your struggles with the long irons! How do you find controlling strike etc with 9I & PW? Not too sure how I’d feel about a longer wedge 🙈 Scott had toyed with the idea of one length for quite some time and I feel if his flirt with his Cleveland irons doesn’t go well it’ll be his only option left to try!

Brilliant video lads, these irons are ugly BUT look so forgiving. Personally I would have these in my bag I need alot of help😅 Considering these were flat and you play upright(might of said other way round) is really impressive 👏🏻
@GolfNorthWalesChannel3 жыл бұрын
They’ve given Scott the confidence to hit a semi-decent iron again so that really speaks volumes for how forgiving they are! I’m used to it by now having a play with Scott’s clubs so I’ve now got a half decent idea on how to manipulate the club enough to manage upright & flat lies! (Shame that doesn’t translate whatsoever to lower scores 🤣)

I just trade in the mizuno jpx 921 hm for these. The gaps sucked in the mizunos, the gaps with these hybrids are much better and closer together. I also couldnt get a decent shot with the mizuno 4 and 5 irons and i thought why am i buying two expensive hybrids to replace them when i get the full set for the same price as 2 ping g425 hybrids. Love these clubs, hate the black paint on the back tho, makes them look super cheap

@@GolfNorthWalesChannel yeh there fantastic performers. I had the original launcher hb's in a regular graphite flex and they served me well til my swing speed doubled, went Mizuno steel regular and then those started hooking, so I ordered the turbos in stiff steel because I missed the forgiveness so much. I also don't have to practice as much with them which is a huge bonus
