1. Negombo is the city that has seen tourist for ages due to the fact that the close proximity to the airport and the beach. So, the area and the people really accustomed to deal with tourists; most of the people there a hustlers trying to get something out of tourists. 2. The tuk-tuk quarrel was about Uber tuk-tuk and other tuk-tuk, those are at each junction. tuk-tuk drivers at each junction thinks that the people in that area should travel in their tuk-tuks, and Uber drivers shouldn't be getting passengers from their areas. So you may have to expect this kind of situations in crowded cities where there are few passengers and lots and lots of tuk-tuks trying to get their turn.

Yes, we have lots,s of scammers in our country, but the lady with the clothes...well she was just trying to keep home fires burning..........not a reas Scam scam.....if she is a scammer, then i suppose we all are. Juice Bar Thilini was something else, she was all customer care, and service from the heart, promoting Sri Lanka.......a true ambassador for Sri Lanka. All in all, the video is a super depiction of my country. Thank you for making it.

You might have to face bit of nuisances if you're roaming in tourist hot-spots. Try to avoid Three wheel drivers, Bus drivers and desperate tourist guides barge into you without your consent. Sri Lankans are usually very friendly and might help you in the best way possible. most people speak good English and you don't have to worry, not even a bit. Good luck with your journey !!! Enjoy!

There were numerous parts to it, all excellent. Cultural and heritage sites: Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Galle. Mountains, British Colonial era tea plantations and large commercial dairy and animal product farms: Nuwara Eliya. Beaches: Weligama, Bentota. City/Metro: Colombo Also visited many interesting sites, e.g Turtle sanctuary, Stilt Fisherman, outskirt of Yela National Park which was closed for a few months at that time. All hotels were amazing, particularly the Heritance in Sigirya, Marriott Weligama and Taj Bentota.

14:10 they are attacking the pickme driver, probably most old school drivers hates pickme and taxi services cz they don't know how to use technology. Anyway, Please watch other tourists vlogs in Sri Lanka. Get a guidance from them. Watch their experience before anywhere you go. Sri Lankan people are very nice, frienldy and kind. But be careful in Colombo and Beach side. But there are many nice and kind people everywhere like her 15:31, who treats u like family . Try to stay away from merchants who tries to force u to by, don't go where the strangers recommend. Obviously its not dangoures but could be scams. The milk powder scam is, not only u sri lankans are gettings scamed. Cz after the crisis there are literally no milk poweder, majority stops drinking milk, which is good except fresh milk. Have a good time here, looking forward for more contents from you guys, you're a lovely nice couple. 🇱🇰🙏❤

As the title of this video says, the girl 15:02 indeed appears to be friendly to the guys(foreigners) who did the video. However, I suspect whether she would be as friendly to the local ppl in Sri Lanka. As a Srilankan expat living in Australia, I have experienced quite opposite behaviour by the local ppl in Western countries. Ie. The locals tend to be more friendly and respectful to local rather than foreigners from a subcontinent country.

Don't think milk powder thing was a scam- her kids are teenagers not babies. Even grown ups use milk powder as opposed to fresh milk. A lot of people drink their tea without milk now because milk is too pricey...

That big guy talking to the PickMe TukTuk was trying to tell that he made the booking on your behalf so they owe him some commission. Always, the ordinary Tuk Tuks try to chase the PickMe ones away with various confrontations. Ordinary Sri Lankans are friendly and generous, and would love to share with you whatever little they have, but beware of unprofessional small time service providers to tourists who are out to make a quick buck. But don’t get too upset, after all everyone is struggling and just fighting to make ends meet.
