I assume you filmed the beginning of this in your hotel room as well? If so, where was this in relation to Wrigley Field? I only ask because I’m a 🇨🇦 CANADIAN 🇨🇦 who plans on coming out there for a game next summer (2025) and am looking for a reasonable costing hotel that’s VERY close to Wrigley Field.

We stayed downtown close to grant park. Hotels there are pretty expensive but we were able to split up costs. Down town Chicago is about a 20 minute subway ride via the red line to Wrigley. I’m not too sure how many hotels are right in wrigleyville but I would recommend booking as early as possible!

I’ve hit 9 MLB balllarks, Wrigley is my favorite and then Oracle. Great series you have going. Mind if I ask what hotel you stayed at for this game? I generally drive in and park for a Cubs game, but wouldn’t mind making a weekend out of it.

Thanks so much! I would recommend staying downtown and taking the cta if you can! Chicago can be a dangerous city so downtown is your safest option, although pricey if you don’t book far in advance, hope this helps!

It’s Veeck, as in wreck. Not Veeck as in beak. He’s famous (and in the HOF) so you should pronounce his name correctly.

Understood. No offense taken. If you’re interested, you should watch the doc about his son, Mike Veeck, called The Saint of Second Chances. It is extremely well done and heart tugging. After watching it you’ll better understand why the Veeck name is never mispronounced by a Chicagoan. Cheers.
