Thank you! This, to date, is the most helpful banking video I’ve seen! I’ve been playing for 5 years and have watched countless KZbin vids on the topic. Your explanation, in my “novice player” opinion is excellent!!

Wonderful tip; great drill. Have a request. I have a real problem developing a consistent bridge I feel comfortable with when my hand must rest on the rail. Would love to see your solutions to those bridge positions.
@HereAfterBilliards2 жыл бұрын
You know what Randy that's an interesting topic. Strangely enough I've been thinking about shooting a video about the bridge but for the open bridge on the table for my daughter. I could shoot one for the rail though. A more advanced look at situations where you might have to adjust. Let me look into it. Get some scenarios together. Thanks for the idea.

Thank you for the video. I've been somewhat successful with the half ball hit off the rail. Now with this tip, I can practice and get better.

I've been meaning to practice these shots for some time now and you just gave me the motivation to do it. Good tips and thanks for noting it's a start point. Many guys try to get you to the end before they tech you where to start from. I've been shooting these with either left or right English (depending on the object ball location) to get additional throw. Center with 1/2 or 1/4 ball seems like it will be much more consistent results. Many Thanks for your time and guidance. Well done!!
@HereAfterBilliards2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'd absolutely stop using any english and hit the shots like I've outlined in the video. Slowly take the object ball and try to make it harder and adjust. Take it as far as you can before you can't avoid the double kiss. Once you've got it down and only at that point, start throwing English onto the cue ball and see how much more you can push the laws of physics👍👍
@frankhernandez133 Жыл бұрын
Appreciate the lesson on a shot which is usually seen as "impossible". Targeting the cue ball center is noted. Yet how much power, speed, or followthrough is used on these shots? In short, how much does the cue ball slide or roll while hitting the target ball? Thumbs up!!
@HereAfterBilliards11 ай бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. Speed is everything with this shot. Too soft and you'll double kiss. You need to hit at a pace where it's hard enough to compress the rail along the object ball and the cue ball has enough momentum to scoot past. Hope that explains it enough for you.✔️ Cheers.

I like the 1/2 1/4 ball hits. never really thought about it that way. I do think its possible to make the impossible ones somewhat with inside English and a firm stroke or maybe having the cue ball jump out of the way. That short will be cool to see.
@HereAfterBilliards2 жыл бұрын
For sure. English and throwing the object ball is more advanced but totally doable. Especially by a hustler with your talents! I'm going to try to find some time to shoot that short this weekend. Don't steal it before then Tim!!!🤣

Just found your channel recently and have been watching videos from the past. What size is your table? In many of your videos you appear to dwarf your table. Not sure if it's just the camera angle or if you are just a big guy.
@HereAfterBilliards2 жыл бұрын
Oh you bring up sad memories for me. When we built out our basement I had to make a room for my daughter to move down there. The result was that I had to sell my 4 1/2*9. It killed me but I had to do it. Now the only thing that fits down there is a 3 1/2*7. It is what it is. A wise man once said, " We play with what we got." With that being said though...I am kind of a big guy LOL!

How about lengthwise ,frozen or close to frozen on the end rails,I always struggled with those,if they were reverse banks I could make them occasionally.
@HereAfterBilliards Жыл бұрын
You know truthfully I've never tried it the long way. Maybe I'll shoot a short video and post it. Thanks for the idea!!

If my cue ball is off to the right and all I have to shoot at is that frozen ball I go for the bank shot into the upper corner.
@HereAfterBilliards2 жыл бұрын
Yup. Cause if you try to go to the opposite side its double kiss time. A lot of people try to defy the laws of physics there and they come to regret it👍🤣
