I love it because it is the only rack in the market that can be installed by one person easily if your garage is not tall enough for the rack. I have this exact problem and I often wake up a bit earlier in the morning to assemble myself when I go camping. Difficult to ask a friend to assemble with me at 5am lol

That is really good information to know. My garage is high enough however i hate the look and extra drag of having a roofrack permanently mounted.

@@sebastiaanpeters7358 Yes, if you check the other rack, they all have to pre-assemble the entire thing and place it on top of the mount. This rack can be installed one component at a time on the roof.

I just installed this rack on my 2014 FJ, and I absolutely love it! I had the stock rack and a Baja flat rack prior to installing this rack. This rack was super easy to install and looks great on the FJ. It is also super quiet - more so than my Baja rack. I would definitely recommend this rack if you are on the fence about it or are looking at getting a new rack for your FJ.

I just purchased this rack due to its load rating and made in USA. Would have been nice to see the half fairing with light bar install included in video since its a factory option. I really like how low profile it is with all the easy to use attachment points anywhere along crossbars for lots of configurations. Going on an overland trip once I receive and install it along with my RTT, and will see how it holds up in the Colorado mountains, a fitting location since I think that's where its made.

i highly recommend upgrading the roof rack, the amount of flimsy plastic parts used by toyota and then them saying the rack-rating is sufficient, is ridiculous.

Do the spacers act as waterproofing?

They do, the rubber compressors under the mount creating a water-tight seal that does not require any additional sealants like silicone.

Whats the max load on this rack? I've got a rooftop tent for and me and my partner to go on top, will this hold well?

You won't have any issues using it for such. LOAD RATING: 400 LBS. DYNAMIC || 700 LBS. STATIC

Hi, I just bought the Fuji for my FJ. Do I need to mount and secure my RTT before installing the side panels? Looks like it will be tough to mount anything once the side panels are on.

We recommend mounting a couple crossbars to the tent first. That way you can drop those crossbars into the rack with the tent and bolt them in from the outside.

Lousy video. Shows the speaker more than the product. When showing the product, the video misses focus ... pulls away too fast ... and is more confusing than instructive.
