Жыл бұрын

The multi award-winning 90-minute tell-all interview with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Piers Morgan. Watch as the Manchester United star gives us his unfiltered insight into everything, including disrespect from Erik ten Hag, to the Glazers, to his belief that his Manchester United bosses doubted him when his baby daughter was ill. Ronaldo also criticises younger players’ work ethic whilst also firing back at his ex-teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, who have criticised the Portuguese footballer’s actions and footballing ability during his time at at the Manchester United.
Ronaldo also goes on to tell the story of how he almost joined Manchester City but a conversation with Sir Alex Ferguson convinced him not to. Piers finally asks him about being constantly compared to Lionel Messi and where and when he thinks he will retire from football.

nobody is saying he not a nice guy but it was not right of him to do the interview. He plays for Manchester United and to be fair it was them who gave him his stage in the first place. He should have much more respect for the club even if he does not like the manager. And all he is really moaning about is not being named in the starting eleven. So many great players at Manchester United it should not be a guarantee that Ronaldo starts. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest players ever but he is a bit older now so if the manager wants to start with younger players like Marcus Rashford it should not be seen as disrespectful to Ronaldo. It has always been the way that older players no matter their greatness eventually become used less and less

@@michaelstephen5155 No he's not. No player is bigger than the club, ever. Ronaldo became a great at Manchester United, through his own hard work and tenacity, but also through the stewardship of Sir Alex Ferguson. Ronaldo has spat on the legacy of SAF by purposefully undermining United's current manager. He is a legend of football, but if you can't see he's acting like a spoilt brat who can't accept he no longer has the pace to play at the top level, you're incredibly deluded. This is from someone who's watched every match he's played since rejoining Man U. Something I doubt most of his deluded fanboys have done.

Ten Hag may have been pretty harsh but I am completely onboard with what he is doing. I love when people blame the manager when in fact it is usually the players causing the problems. Ten Hag literally showed and dished the same level of treatment to Ronaldo and Sancho who both differ drastically in terms of age, history, legacy, and playing ability. Yet again both of them were treated similarly. I never understood why people support players that make almost 100k pounds a week that refuse to train or put in the effort required to succeed. If anything they have an obligation to the fans and people like Ten Hag remind them of that which I 1000% approve of.

Ten hag bought those overpriced players from Ajax and gave them special treatment. Ten hag who is proven a tactical inert when his team is out of play. All the managers who coached Ronaldo with likes of Zidane, SAF, Mourinho, Anceloti, Allegri, Santos have maximum respect for him and have spoken openly about the player’s discipline, professionalism and commitment towards the game, the manager & his teammates. I am not always agree with Piers but this interview was great because He brought the conversation naturally and Cristiano able to pour of his emotions and experiences. It's amazing and extraordinary how Cristiano's mentality truly help him to get through everything. Long live CR7, I am proud to be your fans. You have set a great example to me

What's courageous about him? He lied about the City move being close as City said it was never close just after this interview, he said the club didn't support him and he "felt" they didn't believe him when his child was ill yet thanked them at the time for their support, he also says he called the owners out for the fans so why didn't he do it last season when he was playing and scoring more? Not a word came from him but suddenly this season when he is on the bench and annoyed he comes out and goes on about the stadium and structure and sauna. Was it better last season? He did this for himself, he doesn't care about the fans in the slightest!!

The world is so messed up and there are plenty more serious problems in the world than some drama between a super rich and famous player and his team…. However, what he is feeling is very similar to what many everyday hard working people that take a lot of pride in what they do go through. He’s real for doing this and calling it like it is. @@PayAttentionToThePatterns this question is exactly what’s wrong with the world today….humility has nothing to do with meekness or weakness. And neither does it mean being self-effacing or submissive. Humility is an attitude of spiritual modesty that comes from understanding our place in the larger order of things. It entails not taking our desires, successes, or failings too seriously. The ego leads to all sorts of troubles. Try to lessen the ego.

When he talks about generational change it reminds me when Kobe spoke in the same manner about his younger teammates. He was the first one in and last to leave. The newer guys would show up late, stay shorter than the seasoned ones and leave. It definitely is interesting how much Ronaldo’s experience is similar to Kobe’s. These players are rare nowadays.
