I have revisited this video probably once a week for about 6 months now. Joe attempting to hide this from the world is a crime against humanity. This may be the greatest live podcast of all time. Joe just never thought it would be at his expense!!! Poor guy, I can empathize with him a little. However what did he expect inviting 3 of the greatest& most notorious ball busters of all time?
@lt.finglefubledingler19723 жыл бұрын
Joe is the type of guy who I’d probably like well enough if he was my neighbor or if my kids were friends with his kids but he has no business being on stage. Especially with these three. He’s a house wife that doesn’t know what to do with his time. Comedy is like knitting to him

I just gave up when like when like O & Show with like the many many top tier group just had to like go very distasteful unnecessary overboard. Like tell them they can now say on satellite all the wording with profanity. Goal achieved, then just not staying a nuclear force just spoiled me to full day top tier comedy. Once Norton went Sam, and Ant did whatever. It just too much to follow. So I just gave up all these guys for many many years. I knew this day would come , being able to find it all here on KZbin. And man you are dead on this show was really top the top of all time. The title when I seen it, was like I thought it would be a few minutes of each here and there...not together. I knew right there when I seen your comment it was 100% sure it would be magic and it was.

Probably it couldn't have worked either way -- either it would've been Matarese using his fizzle-after-30-minutes "I'm a family man" routine, or the three superior comedians going on crazy tears for an hour, neither helping Joe M's personal brand -- but, boy, his reaction is waaay self-destructive. This feels a bit like a repeat of the Joe Buck HBO fiasco, though (as some point out in this thread) these three guys are behaving better than Artie did on Buck.

Imagine what this would've been like of Joe actually did the show his way. It just would've been Joe talking about himself with his boring life. Why did he even think an advice show centered around himself would be good? Joe has a very normal life full of normal shit that most people do, but for some reason he thinks it special and funny. He so self absorbed and lacks self awareness. He really had the nerve to tell the others that he's better at life than them and he probably still believes that. Sure, they've all had their mistakes, but they were very successful in their careers. Joe, on the other hand, is basically a stay at home mom. He's married to rich doctor which enables him to not get a job and pursue stand up full time despite not even having a huge or dedicated following. He literally gets to live a life free of normal responsibilities that ordinary people have to go through because he's married to a rich a doctor. So the idea for a self help show centered around Matarese himself makes no sense to me. I don't wish any ill will on Joe, but this showed just how much of an asshole he is. This whole thing is just great and I was afraid that Joe hid it from the Internet forever. Thanks for the upload

As a NY comedian knowing all these guys, he should know how to take some shots and give some back... it seems insulting to have guys trashing you, but its how comedians get laughs. It's not the jokes about you, that makes you look bad, it's how you respond to them.

Holy shit really?

Yeah, and man....the three guys on stage are some of the best. I mean, I have honestly thought of better things to respond with than Jim (for example) in some cases, but it's like....I think of those things HOURS after listening to the show. Jim, Artie, and Anthony come up with HILARIOUS stuff on the spot, and they do it consistently. I could write letters with these guys, but man...wouldn't think I could hang on stage with them, which this guy apparently did.

Joe drops then "I married a doctor" like its a brag. His wife is probably never home, always tired, makes him raise the kids. There's a reason men don't care what a woman does for living when they're trying to date.
