The thing about this art form is music also needs to sound good. So although Joe Budden has good lyrics, if you cant put them together in a way that sounds good people wont really care. At that point you might as well write poems. I'm not saying Back to Back was great, but how people look at it is it sounds good and has decent lyrics. If you look at the diss songs that people say are the greatest of all time you will notice they actually sound good. Joe budden's music to most people doesn't sound good. It's more like spoken word.
