Calling Life and Andrea Moda mediocre is like compliment to them.

Very true they would have loved to be called mediocre but never good enough for even that 😂😂

I love how all these sordid stories of these late 80s/early 90s minnow teams almost always involve someone nefarious disappearing with millions of dollars!

i wonder if someone could slap the old cars into modern windtunnels to find flaws that made them so slow and see if the concept of the car would have even worked with upgrades

This and the 1994 Simtek - aesthetically my fav cars of all time, with the Lambo having a slight edge over the Simtek for its sidepods. But dark purple liveries rule!

I'm not alone it appears in praising this car's design, it's beautiful and so glad they kept them. Also very pleased that Lamborghini dipped their toes into F1 and I wonder how it sounded apart from being loud. As mentioned the side pods were ahead of their time to see similar looking ones on 2022 Mercedes.

I touched the 291! It’s on display at a museum at Monaco. I loved how it looked with those triangular inlets.

One must wonder what would the team have done had there been money to develop the Lambo 291.

They left quite an impression on me. Those bright green liveries and I seem to remember them pulling out some half decent results now and again. Id forgotten they had Adrian Newry till I just looked them up.

The only notable things about the car is that it had a lambo engine and that it outqualified a double world champion once*

Everyone is a critic, but the high pitch "modem" squeal in the left speaker of the music is quite irritating. Meanwhile in the world of fewer complaints, excellent video as they've all been so far. It's nice to remember the days of garagistas, that have long since passed.

I’ve been saying that about those sidepods since the second week of testing…slightly obscure reference to drop into casual conversation though…

I don't understand the pre-qualifying section
@PeterBrookF1
@PeterBrookF1 2 жыл бұрын
In 1991 there were 34 entrants for a 26-car grid, so on Friday morning the eight drivers from the four new teams plus Coloni who'd never qualified for a place the previous year would do pre-qualifying. The four fastest drivers would advance to qualifying proper, where the now 30 drivers would attempt to qualify for the 26-car starting grid.
