I have one at a firm that used Eightcap. It was suspicious how particularly the new firms would all use Eightcap. Now it had to switch to another broker and in less than a week to another one. Not sure about this FTUK.

You need to be careful with that firm - they do not refund assessment fees. Therefore, you will only receive 80% of the profits made should you get that far. However, if you purchase a challenge with prop firm match you can potentially receive a 0.25% refund, which is obviously less than you paid but better than nothing at all.

Yes this happened to me also, This drove me to look at alternatives. The answer is futures and futures prop firms. IMO futures is a better prospect than FX, not even close. With futures, specifically NQ and ES minis and micros and full for that matter all brokers have the same data feed it is all from the CME. Its not like how Oanda, FXCM etc all have different price action as they are a decentralized exchange, weather you have RAW or not in FX. With futures price, bid/ask spread being set at a centralized exchange (CME) everyone gets the same price action, there different fees like commissions for different brokers you need to be aware of. You can also see the depth of the market with level 2 and 3 data if your broker provides that. I will never go back to FX. Actually if one is hooked on FX you can trade the actual FX futures contracts through the CME also. FX and FX props are S*!t IMO.

The MetaQuotes issue was that US citizens was able to trade CFDs which is not allowed in the US and the connection was that prop firms was using MetaQuotes' software to offer CFD trading to US citizens, so what is the easiest way for a regulator to control that with MetaQuotes being a US company..... put pressure on them to pul the plug on all prop firms using their software.

The issue with your statement is that prop firms don't allow you to trade CFDs, because it's simulated trading. You're never trading real funds or real instruments. It's all demo accounts, so nothing is passed to a real live market.

Oanda, big Broker with big reputation just got into the Prop Firm industry, I can not believe that its over for Funded programs, maybe one must choose a more trustworthy option even if it costs more. I was looking for cheaper alternatives with MFF and TFT but should have chosen FTMO probably all along. If FTMO goes down then we can say its over. 🤔

The US being blocked and MT pulling out of non-regulated businesses killed the flow of capital to the prop firms, they relied and based their business model on printing money with thousands of people taking and failing challanges, as much as 80% of their capital cames from this.

So now I have lost my money to TFT, and have no money left, TFT is the first prop firm challenge I brought and in next few days this all happened couldn't even place one trade, I have a request can someone buy me the the5ers bootcamp, I do have the skill and mindset to pass this challenge but not enough money to buy the challenge. I requested a refund for all the active Live and Challenge accounts I had, not from the company but from my bank, providing all the details of what happened. They refunded the money to me as it was deemed fraudulent, and typically banks cover you in such situations. I hope this information is helpful to someone. At least to recover what you invested.

I got a better idea : How about just forget about these prop firms and focus solely on your PERSONAL trading account ? At the end of the day, it is all about the skillset one builds .. If you have the skills to make money consistently on a prop firm account , then that skillset will translate into trading your own personal account.. It doesn't even matter how small the personal account is, because if one could develop the skills then the personal account will double in a short period of time..Also, with the personal account, the money is REAL, there is no wait for withdrawing profits, and there is no stupid challenges .. 😊😊

It could be a fantasy but I think there are traders that have such a high return they don't need a prop firm or attract capital through a fund (or have a youtube channel as a side hustle). If that was me, I wouldn't tell anybody and I'd be pushing money to passive investments. In the end trading is another job from which you will retire from (or just do for fun and live off the passive income)

I’m with them. Only prop to still use my4/mt5. I don’t know how they payout 15% challenge fees if you make 5% on funded account. Sounds good though if you can get it lol. Stick to ftmo only. If they shut down it’s safe to say you better trade your own capital.

The whole migration from mt4/mt5 to dxtrade and cTrader has been ridiculous. Firstly all non-US traders were to be automatically migrated to c trader , then those people had to submit a ticket for the same thing , only for all communication to be ignored. Promo codes and random % added to challenge accounts to cover the Shit Show. Finally , the sheer audacity to send a poll ‘how can we regain your trust’

Trading futures sucks, that's the problem with them. Most futures move in the New York session so London is out of question. They rely on us-related data so it is like trading the news. Either your stop loss gets hit or the move is gone and you cannot get on the fast train.

Propfirms should just get gambling licenses and go under that umbrella.. That's basically what they are anyways. Some will say it's trading and at it's core it is but if you add in the"Tweaking\slippage manipulation", you can say the odds are skewed in the firm's favour. As much as it sucks for funded people, these closures needed to happen in order to clean up the fckery prop firms do. The alternative could be simple, trade straight forex on real brokers, doesnt take much to get started and they're regulated.
