I feel it's becoming too cliched to play homage to characters through names. Warden Kane (Hodder) Laurie (Strode) (Tommy) Doyle Jason (Voorhees) Mikey (Myers) I guess it could technically all be a coincidence but I'm gonna go with no.

So, our main guy in the movie is supposed to be dressed as the Doctor? I guess by the scarf and hat, he's supposed to be Sylvester McCoy's Doctor. I'm just guessing because he's missing the question mark jumper and question mark umbrella, and now I'm being that annoying guy on the internet who points things out that no one probably cares about. ...well, while I'm at it, while Doctor Who CAN be a valid alias, he usually just goes by The Doctor. I only say that because the conversation with the old man seems to imply our main guy thinks he's called Doctor Who all the time. OK, I'm done.

It certainly looks like a half finished 7th Doctor costume. And that's definitely something many people would care about. Mainly DW fans, but also some people in the wider geek culture. And I think the whole name thing might be a common thing with a lot of people, including the various cast and crew of the show, and especially the different actors who played the Doctor. Sometimes I wonder if those who just say 'the Doctor' are actually in the minority there.

Intentionally and unintentionally. And somehow. I know it knows. And i dont care that it knows. Thats what makes it better! There is a single scene late into this movie where some guy trips and falls. And his head justbso happens to land in the perfect spot for a killer to drop a mellt on his head. This entire movie is "just so happens.". And it works? This movie is fun. Stupid. Not too stupid. Gory. Not overly. Its just good.

@@thereisonlycis3566 how do you know my taste is bad? You don't know anything about my taste, you have no idea what films I like or dislike. I'm not the original poster. I just happened upon this small thread and made some observations. I find that people often speak/act as if their own subjective tastes in things like film or music are somehow objectively true, seemingly unaware of the inherent logical contradiction in stating a subjective opinion as if it were fact. Like in your reply to the OP-- you didn't tell the original poster "oh, I think you have bad taste cuz that movie sucked in my opinion" or anything like that. You said that he had "unironically bad taste" as if that statement was an objective, demonstrable fact, without qualification of any kind. Your reply to me, imo and given the applicable logic, was much better worded. You just either sent it to the wrong person, as I did not make the original post, or you are making an unfounded assumption. Cheers

Some random thoughts about this movie after watching the review, and taking a shower thinking about it after: I saw this movie around 2018, on Cinemax, back when they had "Saturday Splatter-day", I DVRed it, and it still took me a couple of viewings to get through. To quote AEW's Maxwell Jacob Friedman, IMO this movie was the definition of "MID!". I wanted to like the movie, but it seemed like the main antagonist was the movie itself. From bad joke timing, where even the one "political" joke they try to make didn't hit, to every time the movie tried to turn the corner and make me care for either the "teens" or the "killers", the movie would go full blown Heel, and do the thing that would go into "Cornette Rage" and get worked up more about the logic, and miss a pretty good kill or two. I mean I get the whole NOT Harley Quinn and NOT Kane being undead slashers and sequel bait, but I feel that was all added by the writer as a "well, it's been done in other, similar, movies, so I guess it's a thing here". That's where I would assume there hasn't been a sequel, since whomever was penning a sequel probably ran out of ideas of what they could have them do (or the similar "Funhouse" movies that came out around the same time, like Hell Fest, never had a sequel, so they didn't know where to go next either). I watched the RiffTrax edition of "Ice Cream Man" back around 2020, so I kind of didn't understand the greatness of Clint Howard. Now that I have, it's awesome to go back and see his other work, even then, Funhouse Massacre doesn't feel like one of them. That, and I also feel that Funhouse Massacre was just one of those movies that someone would be watching in another Horror film. Like say you have a "Gore Hound" character in the film, and this is the film he is watching in the background. Then, a couple scenes later gets ironically killed in a gruesome fashion, maybe by one of the characters from this movie, in a potential sequel. Maybe Funhouse Massacre goes "Meta", like Human Centipede 2, I'm just throwing ideas out there, you know, in case someone is working on a sequel to Funhouse Massacre 2 and needs some ideas.
@mr1000Cent2 жыл бұрын
On a side note, I was thinking of "better movies" this movie would be playing on in the background, and wouldn't you know it, Terrifier was one of the movies that popped up in my "suggested video" list on the side. Sometimes I think Google is scanning my brain for analytics. Which if that's the case, we all know the "real monster", amirite?!
