There are a lot of videos on the very subtle ones. I can't speak for him myself but he is probably covering these very obvious ones because there are a lot of kids who are into Minecraft who might not realize and it's helping young and inexperienced players learn how to spot fakes. It's also a lot easier to cover these obvious speedrunners because with the subtle ones a lot of explanation into the game mechanics may be needed and if you have a younger and not super experienced audience it'll be hard for viewers to understand.

I think the easiest way to prevent fake speedruns is not to show video proof, but to have a speedrun keylogger sort of setup that records the inputs. To verify, you'd play back the button inputs. Obviously, there's a lot of unpredictability in Minecraft that can't be addressed in this manner, (random luck, AI decision-making, issues with playback or recording), which means it would have to be implemented into the game itself.

the ways of finding out a fake speed run: 1.spawn with exp 2.just being straight up obvious 3.not showing world generation 4.suddenly appearing items 5.spawn with items 6.spawnig while facing a direction that you can't spawn facing 7.player *NEVER* sleeping in a bed and somehow not spawning where they supposedly spawned 8.obviously fake chest content 9.fake trade drops 10.buildings that don't exist 11.any sign of gamemode changing 12.doing something that should give an achievement but not getting one (like monster hunter or "isn't it iron pick") tell me if I missed any

Guy has an insane amount of levels upon entering village church Chest in church has OP loot which he clearly spawned in Fake tree made out of Diamond and Netherite blocks There is no such thing as a “Hogin hole” in Minecraft Hoglin is spelt wrong Notch was kicked off of the Minecraft development team a few years ago so it would be impossible for him to add this feature in 2021. “Hogin hole” chests have OP loot which he clearly spawned in There's an Obsidian d**k and a square portal upon the runner re-entering the Overworld Runner locates and then teleports himself to the Stronghold Fake end portal in the Stronghold that fails to activate upon all 12 eyes being inserted. Guy falls from the sky upon entering the End Guy enters creative mode and kills the Ender Dragon in Creative mode.

the 9:21 speed run actually made me laugh. because it was a little different than the OMG FULL NETHERITE/DIAMOND GEAR I CAN GO TO THE END *dies and goes to creative mode and kills dragon*. the fact that it wasn't crazy gear. just somewhat normal loot you'd find in a ruined portal minus the netherite stuff, and then the obviously OP sword w like looting 1k and the random diamond block that lead to the teleport to the strong hold. the dragon w no health xD
