Self hating narc would usually be of the covert kind. Overt narcs tend to lack the shame necessary or the self awareness of the existence of shame, usually tho the coverts have self awareness and better capacity for shame. One type hates themselves while the other type loves themselves but on the outside both appear to love themselves.
@NewsGuyFred7 ай бұрын
I love her energy. It’s decisively indecisive. She’s confident in what her problems are and what are good attributes and has a general idea of what she wants but when she has trouble explaining, she quickly looks to correct herself. She has no shame in correcting herself nor any shame poking fun at herself nor any shame complimenting herself. An “overly confident” person is often a narcissist and doesn’t like to admit when they are wrong. IMO, those people aren’t actually confident but pretend to be. This woman has the confidence I wish to have - no your problems, be okay with them while addressing them, know your good traits, and be honest in life

@@nicbarth3838 ALL people with NPD are self-hating. Self hatred (and the refusal/pathological inability to ever get past the fear and insecurity of that) is the baseline of what NPD is. Covert narcs, on the other hand, smother you with their (real, but exaggerated for effect) sense of low self esteem. Grandiose narcs manipulate by pitying you. Covert narcs manipulate by getting you to pity them. Many narcs vacillate between BOTH grandiose AND covert. Those are the most destructive narcs of all. I just came from another street interview show with Miami locals. What a difference in vibe. Lol I love New Yorkers. Yessssss! She’s so New York or the type that NYC attracts. Quirky, stylish, creative, intellectuals who go to therapy!! I miss NYC! ❤❤❤ I hope she writes and pursues standup. She’s so funny! 🥰

She likes talking and she’s breathtakingly honest. We need more of her. Lists 20+ ideal things an ideal partner a house be “that’s enough”. And then goes on to list a dozen more things 😂 Life with her would be so funny and never a dull moment, I’m sure.

This National treasure is a thinking man’s beauty. Spontaneous, then rethinks, corrects and can laugh at herself. Having a coffee with her would be like riding a unicorn. Unforgettable and no one would ever believe you. Great job by the interviewer to choose her and get her to open up. Love her unconditionally, cherish her, make her laugh (not cry) and everyday together would be your reward. Wish you well, Marty and hope to hear more from you. 💕

Thank you for saying this, throughout I felt like oh wow this girl is me if I'd started therapy 10 years earlier 😅 because we're "so rare" we don't find many other people like us, and it can feel quite isolating. It's lovely to read that actually people like how different we are, and that I shouldn't hide that bit of me just cause I'm an adult 💚
@deepblue69uk9 ай бұрын
Well I didn't expect the personable reply. Says alot about you Kat. We live in a fairly conformist world at the moment and people are often afraid of things that seem different. Variety makes life interesting. Or as a long dead family member was renowned to say in a Northam English accent, "There's nowt queerer than folk." meant in the old meaning of the word.
@johnp.johnson15419 ай бұрын
@@deepblue69uk Conformity is a feature human nature. Men have been writing about this since men could write. Lao-tze will tell you so if you bother to read the work attributed to him, the Tao Te Ching (~ 400 B.C.). And writing extends far before that date. Most are conformists. Most will be. So the notion of "at the moment" is false.
@deepblue69uk9 ай бұрын
@@johnp.johnson1541 I'm afraid I cannot agree. Whilst we do bind into tribes and similar culture you do get a certain amount of diversity within those groups. Not everyone likes the same music/fashion/hobbies/beliefs...etc. Conformity of thought, styles, behaviour, fashion etc do vary over time. So I think so say that it's entirely false, perhaps, misses the point I was trying to make. However, happy to agree to disagree.
