Pure serendipity finding this video on a Friday... being in a new city with no friends or family is challenging and lonely... and when the waves arise, most of the time, I escape or numb. Seeing you cry, pray, and take it on the pillow hit me hard. I need to do that. Thanks for sharing this and not giving us the happily ever after of fairy tales.

Honestly, with your level of self awareness, your easy going personality (as far as I can tell), your desire to grow as a person, your insights and your sense of humor, I can tell you, as a woman who has high expectation when it’s come to men, that you are above average and I can’t imagine you would have a problem with finding a good woman, truly.
@AC-mp7cx Жыл бұрын
that fact that you said he has all that and still just said hes "above average" lol What does "high expectation even mean"

its weird that men constantly have to chase and feel like theyre enough for women

Unfortunately 99.99% of women just want $$$$$ or status in a partner.

can't believe she actually had the nerve to describe him as "above average", almost as if making him a favour. specially after pointing out great things about him. Women nowadays are completely delusional! What the hell do they expect to find for a partner?

You don't need to fight against every statement or mind people speak out here. If it doesn't fit in your world, just skip it and its done. Stop looking for the wrong in other people if it doesn''t fullfill your view and expectations, even if its "100%" wrong in your and many guys. Find a human that fits into your favourite mind, compass and character@@rerikm

Dearest Eric, I have been happily married for 26 years, and I know what a lifetime relationship requires. I am glad you did the work, and grateful you released this short film. It will help so many men! When you find someone who really sees you, she is going to be a lucky woman!

I never really comment on videos, but thank you for making this video, truly. I thought finding someone I could rely on would help me feel like I belong in this world. You made me realize I need to love myself before I can love somebody else.

I have never met a man that self reflected the way you are doing it. You are such a precious person. As one of the men said in your interviews, at the right time the chosen one for you will appear. I‘ve reflected a lot over the last 7 years. I learned so much about me. And it‘s an ongoing process. Finally I found peace within myself and the ability to love myself.

What a beautiful ending. The misdirection from revealing your girlfriend to playing a duet with yourself instead, then the montage reminiscing your past self by playing back the clips from earlier in the video, and the little turn of your head to yourself as you finished off playing the song. What a great way to hold our attention and round out the video. Beautiful job :)

My mother left when I was 6 months. I lacked self love and many other traits. I was blessed to meet her when I was 39 year. Thanksgiving 2022. I was aware of my own issues and saw hers. I thought if she loved me I would be whole. I still felt empty. I learned that I must find love for myself. Everything comes from within. Looking outside brings a lot of grief. We don't control others. Master oneself to be whole. Every day is a battle. Mentally, physically, and spiritually.

You are an amazing editor! I loved the b roll, the narration, and the special effects in this video so so much. The message is the most powerful, and universal though. I hope you find a girl that loves and appreciates you as much as you deserve!! God bless!!

Hi Eric, youtube randomly suggested this video. So glad, it came on my feed! God is trying to speak to me through you. I totally relate to all you said because I’m a young 27 year old single woman trying to navigate through adulthood and love-life. But, it only appears that I need to build a better relationship with myself and stop chasing love. But, on the other side, I hope you’re doing well! I hope you’re continuing to work on yourself and you doing a 100 times better than what I’ve watched on the video which is from a year ago. Also, boy you’re incredibly talented! Loved the mini-documentary on your love life. It’s was simple, wholesome and beautifully conveyed. No jazz or no bullshit. You’re very artistic and talented. Keep up the amazing work👏🏻 Continue doing the good work you’re already doing. Big love
@bernhardtrian74716 ай бұрын
I think it would be more comforting if Woman and Men got surrounded by people with exactly their same situation. Age growing, difficulty to navigate although you might be a very kind, easy and fullfilling person (ofcourse with advantages and disadvantages because no one can be perfect). The part in the video where he said "finding peace with your single life" is very important. We are all ment to find a partner someday, but we are scared that this won't happen, even if we tryhard outside. Out of 7 billion people, there must be someone somewhere :) For me it was important to gain experience from the other gender, wether is is hanging out, conversations, hobbies, entertainment, worldview or sex. If you all get that a little bit, it is soooo much easier. Well, for me it was, speaking only for me. But after a certain age, time and past experience, you get more and more to the point where you know what you exactly want. You just have to fight constantly the surrounding of you. Friends who get into relationships. who marries or even breaks up. You really don't need confirmation from outside if you are already happy with yourself. And you don't have to lie to yourself, just be really open to others and to yourself

First time watching this channel. I admire your vulnerability to share your growth with the world. I am newly divorced after a 15 year marriage and I wish I had taken the time to get to REALLY know myself before falling for the societal trap of marriage. Nobody tells you the ugly side of marriage: Divorce. which is a money making machine fro family courts and attorneys. Props to you for living your life in such a poetic way .

The best way to meet someone special is within your immediate culture, circle of friends, family, relatives and acquaintances. Join clubs, volunteer groups or faith based organizations. Meeting others with common interests is an indirect way to find someone. My best advice is don't try so hard, just let it happen. Listen to the Jamaican guy sitting in the Park bench, the man really knows what he is talking about.

I saw your video of the pensioner Brit, married to an American. This is a great video. Basically we need people in order to really find ourselves. It's through interaction and relating to anybody and everybody that we finally bounce, bump, walk or run into the companionship, where harmony and peace prevail. No need to speak, just be. Too much time alone can leave us completely self serving! Is this good or bad? You decide! In Eric's case, deep down he already realises this: hence a quest for the shared highs, lows and joys! He's such a nice guy I can't see why it wouldn't happen! ❤

Damn. Life seems to be hard at times, harder than we might realise at first glance. But from time to time we might be given a clear enough sign for us to notice, just what it is that we can do about it. This video seems to be that sign for me. I've watched it before, just didn't seem to have clicked at that time. Thank you Eric for this very well made message and good luck to anyone who reads this.

Just subscribed and am enjoying watching you videos which I am finding cathartic because I am an open minded friendly American who lives in Switzerland where mots people are neither spontaneous nor particularly friendly. I think that connecting with people everyday including strangers in a meaningful or casual but respectful manner fundamentally changes the quality of life. Not being able to do this reminds me of the scene from Space Odyssey when Dave travels into open space in the pod to retrieve the body of his fellow space traveller and then returns to the mother ship with him in the pod's arms and is refused entry. Thank you very much for your thoughtful and thought provoking videos.

Good job, Eric. I've struggled with that my whole life. I was also extremely shy with women. I got divorced after a long marriage and remarried rather quickly knowing what kind of woman I needed. I do recommend the Five Love Languages. It has been huge knowing how I feel loved and how I show love. Both my wife and I crave touch. Holding each other, holding hands, caressing. We actually had to be careful here because we chose to not have sex until we got married. High touch easily leads to intimate touch. I live just holding her hand, holding her. I really didn't have that in my first marriage. If you are speaking different languages in love then love is not being communicated.

Glad I caught your video Eric. You have the same conclusions that I have. People want to find love, be successful but they already have it in themselves. We want to learn more skills but we already have a lot of talent that we don't know we have. Research shows that loneliness is a major cause of stress but I do so many things alone without my wife because otherwise I would never do them. Yes to find the love of your life you have to love yourself first. Hope to see more videos of your success in the future. 😀

Such a great video. May it encourage more people to do the "inner work". I started the same journey back in 2021 with a group of close friends. Indeed, it is not easy, as we are still human after all (with all the feelings of sad, annoyed, tired, bored, anger, etc towards others). Maybe the future life partner is also in the process of doing the inner work to be able to meet you eye-to-eye. All the best, hang in there, and keep it up! :)
