A vast majority of furries is absolutely left-leaning; LGBTQIA+ (are there more letters now, I dunno) people are drawn to the anonymity of fursuits and online profiles they can use with cute art from popular artists to pretend to be their "perfect self," or their "true self" in whatever capacity they require from gender identity to sexuality. The ones with guns and racism and extremist tendencies just get a lot of negative media attention because, of course, they do. Anonymity works for anybody wanting to hide their garbage views behind a false persona online, furry or not.

Honestly thats a big possibility and probably likely Its rlly easy to get away with stuff when you have a costume and a character hiding your entire identity. Not only that but the community is very much a fore everyone kind of deal so you have people of all ages who are furries which means that its also easy to find children and adults thatll take advantage of them. @Skelwing10 ай бұрын
when furries get mad about something, they reaaaaally go berserk on twitter and any other social media. most things i've seen are furries fighting themselves online, be it for serious stuff (like the topic you spoke of), or very petty stuff like someone with a blue cat character being accused of stealing someone else's character because their cat character is blue too. it can't get crazier, and yet, somehow, furries manage to exceed that expectation and get crazier. honestly, it's sad to see a community like this that is known for being open and welcoming frequently struggling with either bad apples or scaring people away by their lack of self-control. how they still are able to hold their community together by threads, no idea, but i've seen so much drama, to the point where i question if they should keep calling themselves a welcoming community. i'd call them an artistic community where you have to be careful about how you act or who you associate with because one wrong move and you're being bullied out and your whole social life gets put under the loop. obviously the extremist ones are the worst of the bunch, along with the pedo's, zoophiles and such. they sadly stain those who are the good guys. but can't those who are supposed to be the good guys stop attacking themselves for once over petty stuff?
@notbfg900010 ай бұрын
We hold our community together by the fact that there is no community, we're a demographic. Whoever fits the very loose criteria (it's more of a "I know it when I see it" kinda thing) is a furry, and identifying as one is optional That's why you can't kick people out of furry and any attempt to "police" the fandom has always been and will forever be futile and normies must be educated to understand this. Also you speak about them like you're not.

As cringe as sovereign citizens are, the whole "am i being detained" shit, while they misuse it, is actually a good idea. Its something always worth asking, but not something to repeat while being a dumbass.

@williamnother806610 ай бұрын
@@kieranadamson3224 Honestly it feels a lot more like auditing or lawsuit-bait to me. If a cop has you pulled over..functionally you're pretty much detained. If you try to get away you'll be arrested. If he asks you to step out of the car, even if he hasn't specifically declared that you're detained you can assume you're detained. Cops are required to declare that you're under arrest, and will often only let you know just before putting on the handcuffs or while in the process of putting the cuffs on- they do this because they're well aware that if you know you're getting arrested there's a chance of you flipping out and running or fighting. Probably best to not stress the situation by demanding to know if you're arrested before the cop is ready to let you know...or sometimes, before the cop has even decided. That said, though, saying or doing the wrong thing in the heat of the moment is absolutely court-bait, and cops are just as capable of fucking up as regular people. A lot of people specifically try to stress them out, catch them doing the wrong thing, and use that to either get out of a ticket/court showing or try to sue the state.

Been into furry shit for like 20 years and most people are chill, but when you meet someone wild they are WILD wild - I do believe a lot of it is down to folk being shunned when they're younger usually due to something related to lgbt or mental illness behind the scenes, and you can go two routes when that happens. One sadly being buying into a horrible bias of the world being against you and becoming outwardly vitriolic and obsessively paranoid. Not a furry thing, but sadly common, extremist behaviours have a pattern that gets ignored too often until the person explodes and does something horrible

Yes, this is one of the things that I do not like, even if most furries do hate z00philes. The issue is that often the zoos create a sort of 'sub-stratum' where they hide from the eyes of other furries. It would be like those who claim to be otakus/weebs but also look at guro/L0L1/sh0ta stuff in secret. Not that there are furries who cover for their depraved 'friends', but luckily most furries are more than willing to report and expose these animal m0lesters.

4:26 The wehrmacht in ww2 did not wear armbands. These armbands were from the SS. Mostly in official ceremonies or stupid propaganda they did. The Waffen SS also did not wore armbands despite them being the combat arm of the SS. Infact you had to be part of the official Nutzi party to be allowed to even wear them. The wehrmacht, despite being the main armed forces of Nutzi germany, technically were not nutzis. Because to be a nutzi, you had to join them, and the wehrmacht did not liked actual nutzis in their army and would transfer you to the "Elite" SS, encouraging or forcing. And by elite i mean having a 50% higher chance of dying because the SS were not as elite in combat as wehraboos will tell you they are. Note= do not fall for the clean wehrmacht myth. The reason why nobody wore these armbands in combat is because it singles you out, as an officer or an important person. You wear that travesty symbol and some Commenwealth or Soviet sniper will go "Look at ya git, With a forehead like a coffee table" and would put a bullet in the temple.

I never let someone's orientation or politics be a barrier to my being friends with them and I'm certainly not hateful or out to get anyone, but if you don't completely affirm or believe in left wing ideas a lot of times people assume that you're some kind of hateful extremist. Before the fandom, I grew up with talking animal and anthropomorphic cartoons in the 90's. I had multiple accounts and was in it for the artwork, and the stories while meeting some great people along the way. I never knew any of this, but it's not surprising given human nature. I always treated everyone independently and never lumped the extremeists in with everyone else even if they were a little eccentric. The furs I was in contact with weren't extreme or right wing. Sorry but I've got to let out my history buff side. The Weremacht was the regular German army, and didn't begin sporting the swastika as part of their uniforms until the angry austrian painter took control of Germany. It's well stated that the weremacht and the waffen SS nearly never saw eye to eye, if ever. Even Erwin Rommel himself refused to allow SS troops into his ranks. On top of this, a large majority of, if not almost all of the weremacht never shared the N*azi's ideals or beliefs.

Cool to cherry-pick the one famous dude who didn't allow SS troops in his army because he was stationed in Africa and the Middle-East, places where there really is no need for the 'services' the SS troops provide. Also, the German army REALLY benefited from a government that gave them a huge amount of manpower, materials and propaganda support, which means that the Nazis DID have a lot of power over the army and were able to tell them what to do even if the army 'didn't want to'. Also, the German army participated in destroying villages, giving over refugees and POWs to SS, shooting political prisoners of war on sight, etc.; The German military was filled with people both in power and in the trenches who believed in the same things the Nazis did simply because they also came from the same backdrop as the Nazis. They believed in eugenics, they believed in 'might makes right', they believed in destroying their enemies and re-making Europe into one where Germany is the superpower and all others are silent.

@wingedblaze598510 ай бұрын
@@GraphiteShores wasn’t cherry picking but okay. Rommel is just a really good example but allow me to provide more. A very large majority of the weremacht was revealed to not entirely agree with Nazi ideals, nor even see hitler as a true leader. But unfortunately, he held the power. He had the Waffen SS and he controlled the government. So, in many unfortunate circumstances the weremacht was controlled with fear. Either you fought for the Nazi war machine, and for the “Glory of the fatherland” or your family, and you were either imprisoned, or executed as political dissidents. You say I cherry picked but you went and did the same thing, just you happened to point out ONLY the ones that were loyal and decided to say nothing about the ones that had no choice in the matter. Let’s also not forget about operation Valkyrie, in which a group of some of the highest ranking officers of the weremacht and the German government planned, and attempted a military rebellion against Hitler and the Nazis. On top of all that, like another comment said, the Weremacht occasionally disagreed with the SS to the point of refusing to even follow orders that had them alongside each other. Let’s not forget either the famous battle of castle Itter, where forces of the German Weremacht, under the command of Colonel Josef Gangel joined forces with an American Airborne company to fight off a force of around 150 SS troops. But let me guess that’s just more “Cherry picking”
