Honestly, this was super cool to watch! It makes me think about how often I feel about my own family having totally no idea about furry as both a hobby but also how its a big part of my life. It's encouraging to see this. You were great at presenting it too!

This is so amazing, I wish people would stop thinking that being a furry/ being apart of the furry community has nothing to do with religion. It’s about community and being silly in a cute costume, having fun! It’s not a “sin” and it’s like that of cosplay really. Hey Ark! A better way to define fursona is persona, and persona is short for pernsonality right? So if you want it short explained - Fursona is your furry's personality, what species they are, and their... personality. (please correct me if I'm wrong)

Hey, that's a really good way to look at it! I never thought of it like that before. I think you're right that a fursona consists of many elements. Personality and species, as well as appearance (fur color and special features, for example), I would say that name is also part of a fursona. However, explaining to a non furry that a fursona consists of many elements may be confusing or make it seem like im trying to hide something 🤣so maybe I should stick with furry personality when i tell new people ahaha

Just going to a furry con was a huge deal and really changed my life haha Idk about any cons in Ecuador, but I know there's a pretty well-attended one in Brazil... check out furry cons.com if you're interested But yeah it takes a lot of time, and taking small steps going out of your your comfort zone!

I was around 6 year for a while, but have slowed down as I've hit my mid 30s. Still go, still love to suit, it's still very much a lifestyle for me, I just can't and don't want to go out as much anymore.

I love just being free to be however silly I want to be. I fursuit a bit out of cons, but cons are nice because they give me water and air conditioning haha.

I think a presentation is unnecessary... that's what the first question was really asking. Like if this isn't a thing related to your identity, and it's really just a hobby, then why do this? She was confused because any normal person with a new hobby wouldn't do all this about it... You could've just not made a big deal about it and just unshamefully exhibited being a furry and if they ask, you'd answer then, naturally. Good intentions but sometimes it's just attention-seeking
