This will not happen, a utopic world like star wars is not that easy. It took "30-40" Year to Voyager to get out solar system. And the closest habitatle planet Proxima Centauri B is 4.2 Light year away which is 40 trillion km, 25 trillion miles. We can go there if a thing called "immortality" can found. Also earth can not hold those masses, so future is not bright. A future like matrix can be happen.

Bear in mind those are possibly rich cities in exotic places like Dubai or Tokyo for our present day. I’d like to see a representation of what society would look like to an average citizen living an average life in a poor or “emerging” country. If we look back to what past humans thought the future would look like, they always imagined wealthy people living in luxurious houses/apartments always using tech that proves to be too impractical or very luxurious to our time. One example is the automated furniture I think everyone in the 60s thought we would have commonly at our homes. Id like it very much if this comment became popular so that people could see it and imagine average future life. Anyways, nice video! Edit: as the video tries to depict year 2600 i think it’s fairly into the future so we can have flying machines and spacecrafts Edit 2: also future humans will probably be mocking at us for imagining their life being as fancy as this hehehe

I mean, if this is far in the future I would expect economy to have changed a lot. There may not even be a concept of money. These people could just be living very similar lifestyles if people really realised our planet needs to change. Plus if there was no money there wouldn't be people in power therefore, there wouldn't be the corrupt people causing poorer areas and richer areas. I like to be optimistic and think that humans can turn life around and help earth rather than destroy it, work together. Also the if this video were to show earth in the future, it would already be a hotter climate because the planet would have gotten considerably hotter by then anyways.

The truth is that the future will be a bit like this in some ways, but also different in other ways. Take a look at what people in the 1960s thought our world would look like in the 2000s and see the difference. "2001: A Space Odyssey" was released in 1968 and seemed to make some predictions. In some ways they were correct, in some ways they were naïve and in many other ways they simply had no idea. For example, how was a 1960s person supposed to predict the rise of personal computers and an entire digital economy around them? What then came later with smartphones was even crazier. How could a 1960s person predict Instagram and Snapchat? We will experience similar shocks and surprises that we are currently incapable of even conceiving... and then... re-watching this video will feel similar to how watching "2001: A Space Odyssey" feels now. Good luck everyone! Building a better future is up to all of us.

Personally I think small organic communities are the way to go. Overpopulation is our biggest problem. Imagine population sizes of the 1800s combined with our modern knowledge and technology. Now THAT appeals to me.

This looks possible before 2600 even. I'd nearly imagine this architecture in 2100. Take away the interstellar colonies and its more like a mix of tech 2e will have in coming decades and the early next century. Only the spaceships here are centuries off. But even by 2100 I expect cities on other worlds like Mars and venus. First drones in our near star systems mapping then for colonies

Yes....this is EXACTLY how our future is going to look....with Star Trek Federation starships traveling to Pandora from Avatar. Eventually we'll abandon Warp Drive for Spice-mutation navigation. Spice will also allow us to replace A.I. with human computers..until the Sith come.

thinking "how naive we were". The world will be vastly different from what we can expect from this video due to the "singularity" as time moves forward. What the world and human life will be like after the post singularity era is extremely difficult to fathom. By the end of this century, we may be far enough along in technology to where we are colonizing much of the Milky Way, travelling through different realities, or jumping outside of the boundaries of space and time into other dimensions that we cannot even conceptualize. It is probable that we will no longer be in physical form, but exist instead as energetic ghost-like entities that can traverse the universe. Looking back at this moment in time, I will undoubtedly smile, thinking of how innocent and naive we were.

to make this more realistic, the animated humans should not look anything over 30. If we haven't stopped aging by then... we will most likely at the very least have incredibly advanced anti aging procedures.... a basic thing like greying hair will not happen.

There's no way to predict that tho, we can easly reach this in a couple decades if we focus on technological advances and efficient resource utilization and energy gathering, sadly, with all corrupt governments, careless people and politicians that only care about power and money, we are over a century far from this :/

In theory or in perfect conditions, as humanity if we never had any wars and if we had lived peacefully without money involved in everything as it is today, our society would be much different. You are indeed living in future. Do you ever think how complex our world is today. It is so complicated you wouldn't be able to explain one thing in details. I think it was the will of God to make us greedy, jealous and possessed by money and other cool gadget we have. It is our ancestors failure, not ours. Thanks to them we are what we are today. But even if they were a kind and stable utopian society, doesn't necessary means that there will be no representatives of very influential society system, which support governance of elite and aristocrat kind of system. It would be pretty easy to bring down such an utopian system with a very few influencers who controls majority with their very cunning politics. I think and you should also think that only God knows when is it a great time for you to born. For example Nicola Tesla was born before 19th century. He lived most of his life in darkness until the predestined will of God, when he invents the electricity. Just imagine, how fast humanity got electricity and not that long first power plants were constructed. You can thank the God you were born during this time. There is no much of a war present today and it has fair development of a technology. What if you were born 500 years later in a middle of Galactic assault were your both parents die. Today young people have a choice and a necessary duty to shape our world, so our long descendants can live in utopian future we imagined to live in. Do not think only about yourself. Universe is not eternal and it will never be, you can not live forever, even if you could what your life would be in the future you did not imagined to be in. Do not lose hope, humanity still has a chance to change their mindset and start thinking about greater good. You never know who will be a next "Nikola Tesla", who will revolutionize and apply the technology which surpasses our technology in efficiency a hundred times.

@@amyngatha6469 I am amazed you have read an entire book of my comment... If only more people shared a same opinion.... Human greed is toxic, it kills all wildlife.. unfortunately. We are more greedy than animals, our greed is so great that it can literally harm us and other around us.. Some people think that is in nature for intelligent to destroy each other at some point. I believe that intelligent self aware unique biological organisms can chose not to. Just imagine, drake with his famous drake equation predicted over 36 million intelligent life forms... How we didn't achieved first contact yet... Some people since the writing of Communism Manifesto tried to make Karl Marx dream come true, but sadly it didn't lasted too long. You might consider communism evil, it's not, past president's should be questioned like Stalin.Communism learn us about being more generous and less greedy... Don't judge it by it's representatives. Vladimir Lenin and Josip Broz Tiro were the most influential and most powerful people at their time which had potential to change world for better, but failed because humans selfish nature and former allies in ww2 which didn't wanted for communism spread and oppose potential treat to their selfish and capitalist politicians..
