The Future Looks Uncertain...but God - Daniel 2 - Skip Heitzig

Prognosticators and forecasters abound all around us, from weather reporters to psychics. Even the National Geographic Channel hosts programs about aliens who are trying to tell us poor earthlings a thing or two about the future. And everyone seems amazed that someone as distant as Nostradamus could’ve predicted life in our modern culture-or did he? The future is shrouded in mystery for us all but God specializes in knowing and predicting the future. To what end? What is the purpose of God showing us today what will happen tomorrow?

I wrote a poem for Daniel 2 Nebuchadnezzar was quite upset He had a disturbing dream The royal King didn't understand it He called on his counseling team They asked him to tell the dream They would explain to him what it means The king said no, I want an explanation After you tell me the dream The advisors were confused and said to the king No one can do what you ask The king was furious and said to them Then death to you all is the task The commander of the king's guard went out To get started as the king was stewing But Daniel stayed calm and respectfully asked The why of what they were doing The commander told him and Daniel asked If he could speak to the king Daniel, trusting God, told Nebuchadnezzar That he could explain the thing Daniel went home to his loyal friends They prayed for an answer Sure enough, their God in heaven Showed up and swiftly delivered (By Esther Coleman-Spells... It's interesting that in previous years everyone was talking about the end. All churches and movies were about the end of the world. And as we get closer to its real end, now everyone is starting to talk about the future and the new world. The weather is changing.
