What is Dry Ice cleaning you now ask ?
Dry ice is frozen CO2 and is approx. -80° C cold - it is absolutely environmentally neutral, non-toxic and contains no water. For cleaning purposes, dry ice is pressed into rice grain-sized pellets and applied to the surface to be cleaned using dry ice cleaning machines.
Due to the cold and the high speed of the dry ice pellets, the dirt becomes brittle and cracks - the surface to be cleaned is not attacked because dry ice is not abrasive.
Upon impact, the dry ice pellets increase their volume by 760 times and "blast" the dirt particles off the surface.
Dry ice changes directly from the solid to the gaseous state (sublimation) and dissolves without residue. There is no moisture during cleaning and no contamination from the blasting material.
This service is now available in house at our dedicated detailing studio in North Weald.

Between laser cleaning and dry ice blasting it is incredible what can be done in automotive. If you have a good compressor this can be set up reasonably affordably if you have a local ice supplier (500 pound minimum orders are annoying). To make it cost effective you need to schedule a few vehicles at the same time. There is just about no one doing this for vehicle here. A couple of industrial units but no automotive. On plastics and aluminum its magic.

we are using a 60 cam at 8 bar screw compressor

What do I need to begin dry ice blasting turbo? Do I have to use specific air compressor or any type and do I have to get after cooler so can you help me out for air compressor setup please. I went to local dealer around me and I got this setup. With oil or free oil idk 30 KW Cfm - 172 Pressure : 10 Bar. 150 psi One model 22 KW Cfm - 118 Pressure : 10 Bar. 150 psi
