The importation of LNG into Alaska will be the death of someone's political career. On that note, I doubt that will ever happen. No one will sacrifice their political standing for such a decision. We would start sending north slope gas down the TAPS in tandem with the dwindling oil before we shipped in LNG.

We would start shipping Usibelli coal to the Anchorage area before we started shipping in LNG. LNG would be the Admittance to the world that Alaska has lost its "Energy Independent" identity.
