I am a lifetime member. I am happy that you have shared these thoughts. I am a Divi superfan.

Something often overlooked is Divi support. I personally think they have the best support in the game and it's the reason I standardized everything I do when they launched their lifetime deal years ago. I hear what you are saying Mak...LTDs can become cumbersome when you need a constant influx of cash. With latest release, my feelings would not be hurt if Divi came up with a pricing plan that was favorable to those who took advantage of LTDs or the length of history with company. I use the marketplace often and look forward to Divi being around for a long time.

The lifetime membership is a no brainer, albeit a strange business decision especially since Divi is growing so quickly and web design is so popular

If they move to subscription plans, it's game over for Divi.

Divi is my fav tool for designing great looking sites fast. Just hope they clean up on the shortcodes. Good to hear that Divi could be integrating with Gutenberg. That would be a huge plus.

Fast don't say good ! Divi (like Elementor) need too much addons OR you can add code but the structure is awfull (working with flex and grid is really a game changer)

I’m looking forward to hearing more about Divi 5. So far I’ve found Divi support to be great with timely replies. Of course it’s always better when I don’t have to access support and things just work.

I really like the transparency of what they do at ET, they really want to make progress; you don't want to end up like some of older page builders kind of stuck in 2016-2017. With that said I've spent the last month in Breakdance and I'll have to say it's a game changer as far as Page builders are concerned.

I really love Divi. I wish them the best. They provide so many features for free when Elementor takes money for those one. They have the best ever support. I love to design with them so much!

Divi is awesome but have to be updated and introduce more features in the main theme that you have to look for in divi supreme, divi machine or other plugins. Always taking care about the speed and experience.

I'm glad I got the lifetime membership back in 2015 divi crushed it with the theme builder there's nothing like it out there like it on the market. The only pet peeve I have with them is

Another major edge Elementor has over DIVI is its adoption rate, almost every existing premium theme now use Elementor as their pagebuilding tech or at least has a version for it. To me, DIVI would have gotten a larger chunk of the Pagebuilder marketshare if they made it open-source with a Premium subscription that unlocks the elegant themes library and advanced features. The Gutenberg building space is still relatively new and I can see DIVI uing that as an advantage but I think merging into Gutenberg would disrupt a lot of existing users workflows and force a percentage of them to switch to BETTER GUTERNBERG BUILDERS Like CWICLY - As for Elementor, if they also make the same move into Gutenberg, it's over for DIVI longterm cause Elementor is opensource, adoption rate with Gutenberg support would sky rocket again with a ton of new innovations in the new era as they transition existing users already use to the easy way of doing things.

It does look good and I feel like they are in good stead to be in the top tier as they have been in the past. I'm a little disappointed that flex box and the like is not native as that would be awesome!! But it's just a feature update so hopefully it will come soon after the Divi 5 release.

Divi is great but way behind some pagebuilders. At this moment I switched to Breakdance, ultrafast, lots of elements Divi has not, and flexboxes :-) For now I put Divi on hold until 5.0 will see the light...

Divi doesn’t have a search box on their hp to search for tutorials. I search in Google or KZbin. Beginners still waste a lot of time with both Divi and Elementor. Still not good enough. But maybe in the future.

I have always been wondering how they manage to continue to produce so much with this Life time Deal...which is super cheap...I am quite confused when you look at the offers of the competition. Divi is still my favorite builder and I don't want to switch to an other one yet...even if occassionnaly I have to build with Elementor which has also its own nice features...

I trust that lifetime members will get Divi 5? Because - I paid for a lifetime license for Thesis and a few years ago, it was abandoned. The underlying code was used to create a new theme, which is not available to Thesis lifetime owners. The person who owns the company should be sued into bankruptcy over this. I am painfully aware that ‘lifetime’ means as long as the company is in business, but what he did was dishonest. ‘Nuff said.

I understand that nn is easy but charging a low fee every year would guarantee you a safe income... Then I must say that elementor offers many more features and divi is not so easy and you want to get out of the classic themes offered. There is always something more to buy even to do simple things. It would be more useful in my opinion to charge a fee like elementor but give the opportunity to do more things because every time you have to study to see which plugin fits better. Then I wanted to thank you because your videos are always the best!!

I think he means that lifetime won't be offered moving forward. It would be hugely unethical to take it away from their existing base. Maybe even illegal... depending on the Terms & Conditions we signed off on.

I disagree that other Pagebuilders don't have the same or better ecosystems than DIVI... Elementor's ecosystem alone is by far more advanced than anything Divi has to offer... Can't compare the ecosystem of an opensource platform with that of a privatized one.
@sandratoolan9598 Жыл бұрын
Its prpblematic, elementor has done a better job 'off the field' , there is so much shove behind them and the envato support helps big time i think. and thier templates vs themes ... there just so much out there fpor them. I hope you're right.

Divi should be easier to use. And powerfull, But in that order.

I'm mostly interested in performance... Divi is just so slow and bloated... I don't care about the Divi Builder... Yes, it has to be fast and pages sometimes can crash while editing. That's a given it has to work and we know v5 will solve that. But that's not the core issue. To make a Divi Website fast & snappy... A REAL LIFE website... Wow the amount of work that goes into that is insane. I can do it because I'm ex-designer + mid-level-ish developer... The everyday person is screwed. And even then, the work to make Divi competitively load fast is just... It's too much man. This is just the start, they really have to fix the basic underlying problem of how Divi builder produces outdated 2005 type of div-soup and uses outdated frontend features. They have to do a migration path to slowly allow you to use "Divi v2 on frontend" for layouts.

I tried elementor pro ... My website was hacked badly because they didn't do what it takes to secure their shitty plugin ! (backup is life !). Divi works for me, it's not the best compared to the other parties but it still hold on ! Been years that I have the lifetime membership at Divi and it is the best investment I have done so far !
