Ironing and charging your cordless power tools are also a good use for this too

That intro hits ... hard! #tooCloseToHome I've been waiting for a video like this from you mate - been on the fence with a couple of these batteries and solar setups. Would love to power my standalone office with one (maybe a bigger one)
@LarsKlintTech21 сағат бұрын
I wanted one for a long time too, but as you, was on the fence. When this one arrived I gave it a good go with all sorts, and so far so good. You would most likely need a better one (or more) for an office setup though. The panel also comes in 600W so that might provide more power capture too.
@KeranMcKenzie21 сағат бұрын
@@LarsKlintTech Yeah given my office is also the central 'hub' for Starlink & Unquiti gear for the property + the all important 'bar fridge' for cooling summer drinks - it has to be using something that can run 24/7, 365 with it's primary source being solar ... I think that puts me in the Anker Solix type range (designed for off-grid vs occasional camping, charging, fence repair)
@LarsKlintTech21 сағат бұрын
@@KeranMcKenzie Yes, it does sound like that. Ecoflow and Bluetti seems to be pretty popular too.

These are great. I have a Bluetti AC200L that I use with a small solar array that fully powers my starlink and 5 ubiquiti cameras out at my farm property.

Wow, that is pretty awesome. How do you store the AC200L. I am worried about all the dust here getting into mine.

@LarsKlintTech i just have it in a small shed with 3 475 jinko solar panel set on a ground mount outside. Get about 1000w an hour in solid sun. Been running off it for a year and a half now without issue

A real world test I'm certainly interested in, (and you could be just the guy): without knowing the specs, and ignoring maths and load calcs, if this was in a weather-tight enclosure and hooked to the solar panel, would it be viable as an off-grid solution for a luba 2 base station? The RTK station has a solar kit available from the vendor. Even if say, once a week the battery was topped up via grid ac, or even a petrol genset. I have a real world requirement and it would be an expensive experiment for me if it were to fail. Love the inspiration from your channel. Cheers Lars.
@LarsKlintTech12 сағат бұрын
I haven't tested it, but I suspect it can. I assume you mean charging the LUBA 2 as well as running the RTK. I can probably test it for you over the next few weeks. Let me see what I can do.
@waynesmith741010 сағат бұрын
@@LarsKlintTech Thank you! That would truly be awesome! I was thinking just the LUBA 2, as the solar kit for the RTK seems fairly reasonably priced, but Mammotion don't offer a kit for the robot charging. If it could do both that would be good info, although in my case I would likely use the solar battery just for the robot, and maybe a wifi access point, and maybe a zigbee hub or something since it seems to have plenty of power. :)

Thanks, glad you like it 😂 Definitely don't want nails in those fence boards. As you see in the video, they moved and it pulled out the screw. I will definitely use it instead of the petrol generator for jobs like that, but apparently there is such a thing as a cordless drill..... 🤔
