I don't see how Tabor has any chance in this duel.... This game won't change much anymore, the backbone is already so cobbled together ducktape that every change brings up a lot of new bugs that they look for months later- nothing big will happen here anymore.... There are bugs here that have been dragging on for over a year and they've done nothing about them, and in that time they've done MASSIVE work on paid add-ons to still get something out of the game. Combat Waffle itself knows that it won't get too much out of Tabor anymore.... This wipe was supposed to be revolutionary, in fact a new map (already filled with 90% naked Timmies) has arrived and the rest is cosmetic.... What Exfill has now is unattainable for Tabor ever, especially since it is developing faster than Tabor ever....

The ONLY point of this game is fighting players (and well-equipped ones at that)-fighting bots is a pathetic illusion, they are hopeless.... In Exfill the bots are 10 levels better (and for that you never know if a player doesn't control them) and it's super to fight them. In Tabor meeting a bot is a punishment , an unpleasant impediment....

I really hope Tabor can get it's act together. I like both games. I could call Tabor my main game but it really does feel like some of the Tabors promised features and quality of life improvements are always behind the horizon. I really like the new mall map but that too took quite long to push out. As did the mission system reintroduction. It's nice that there are plans for multiple scav factions but at this rate I can't even begin to imagine when would that materialize. Meanwhile Exfil Zone seems to be delivering on quite many fronts with no drama and a positive outlook. Tabor does some things more to my liking, like the lower time to kill, but it's nice to see Exfil Zone paving the way, when it comes to quality and variety.

I fucking told Scott like a year ago when he announced they were working on 2 other games that it was a stupid move, they would focus less on Tabor, and it would hurt the development of the game. Surprise surprise. A year later and tabor has had barely anything added. Meanwhile a new better game comes out in alpha with more features. If Tabor doesn’t do a MASSIVE overhaul and re-align with Tarkov in every single fucking way (be more hardcore than exfil) then their days are COOKED. IMO that’s what tabor has going for it. TTK is lower. It could be more hardcore like Tarkov if they get all the features Tarkov has. Ain’t gunna happen though

I would add to the game the ability to carry a go pro camera and record the entire raid, which can be placed on the helmet or the weapon or wherever, I would also do the physics and animations of the characters from scratch, I would optimize the models since the weapons have an exaggerated number of polygons, I would also rework the island map and enlarge the silo map a bit. Just with that it would compete again with exfil, since the only bad thing about exfil so far are the npc's, which are very broken. the other thing is the sounds, the sounds in tabor are not good. the game uses a VREXPANSION PLUGIN for unreal engine 5, but hey haven't modify it that much.

Exfill NPC is broken :O ?? In my experience, this is the best part of the game (unlike Tabor where they are pathetic). The bots in Exfill are a revelation. Sometimes they manage to hang up, but overall they work very well, you want to fight with them

I like your points here. I think you are onto some important stuff. I like Exfil NPC's because they are challenging but they don't flinch or have their aim affected when you shoot them so in that I do think they are broken.

I didn't know that the Tabor devs were working on VR DayZ and Rust ripoffs, but it makes a lot of sense. The Tabor devs are neither talented nor creative, they just ripoff successful flatscreen games for VR. Ghosts of Tabor was always meant to be a quick cash grab by being first to market for a VR Tarkov. Same thing for their new Rust and DayZ VR games. They stand 0 chance once competent developers enter the market, hence the situation with ExfilZone.

I think they’ll try (and fail) to make the game come back, because there is a high likelihood the game will just be broken when updates happen. I assume their core systems are coded incredibly poorly, based on how long the game takes to update.

For a year they can not, for example, improve the capacity of the backpak- Gearthech and Ragnar so that things on the edges do not fall out, it seems to be simple- mega annoying and people report it.And this is just a quick example, there are dozens of it.... And yet, more than a year nothing has changed, for this came the cat and cowboy guns XD.... The basic code of the game must be a monstrous mess....

tabor was the first in VR realm, and just like anything else in life, someone can and will do it better. They either do better, or the game slowly dies. Coming from someone who bought founding fathers. Exfil is much more fun. It’s cleaner, smoother, doesn’t look depressing, and it’s REWARDING. More to loot than GPUs and Keycards.

I could write a whole speech on why EZ is a much better game , but I will focus on one: -Tabor promised some things he will never have anymore (dozens of things)-this game is no longer developing, only cosmetic changes. EZ has all this and a lot more. And it has earned trashing by a toxic community and toxic developers.... I won't even count how many times someone pointed out a glaring bug in the game and both the community and the creators themselves laughed it off aggressively throwing just a 'skill issue' - and of course no one did anything about the bug....

I personally still enjoy both games and even more so I favor playing shooters on my psvr2 more than on my quest 3. Seeing that ghost of tabor is due to come to psvr2 and showdown has no plans for it, Tabor is going to get more player base with PlayStation where as I worry people will slowly abandon showdown again…. Bring showdown to psvr2 to add more players!

@@jakeypants_YT I wish I had a PC man, I know showdown must run great on there. It's not the best on standalone, has it's latency and graphics pop quite often even on the 3. The main reason I like shooters on psvr2 are for the haptics, between the controllers and the headset itself things get very immersive. Into the radius locks the trigger when the gun is on safety and I'm hoping Tabor uses the haptics as well for that same feature 🤞

I want new news or something, like when Scott was leaking what some upcoming changes are: Complete loot refactor, and adding more items to loot More guns Scavs/Fenix Mission system.
