Costantinople was built and dedicated to our Lord and Savior,Jesus Christ by Constantine the Great. Hagia Sophia was built by Justinian the Great to praise our Lord's eternal wisdom. Now, the turkish president wants to make it an islamic mosque. Really now? I really wonder if the president of Turkey with his hubris can literally realize what he is dealing with. No one messses with God..

@@mohalahs_ we are in 2020 not in 1500 a.d. Religious tolerance is a key factor for good relations between nations today. What is the point in this. To provoke the Greeks or the Christians for that matter? To gain what? This irresponsible action alienates the turks from their neighbors, friends and allies. Sad move.

I’m Greek and it’s part of Turkey now so they can do as they please really. I’m just disappointed in that Turkey is moving from a secular society all for Erdogan’s political motivations and what is in effect a dictatorship. All my Turkish friend dislike what he is doing to their country, who are our neighbours and brothers. The sooner we all get along the better and forget the past. All countries/nationalities have bad blood with their neighbours so high time we all get over it.

@@drgeorgek Don'r fool your self. There ain't no brotherhood with the Turks. There never was. We can have be good and caring neighbors though,if we find a way to overcome our differences. That alone would be great..

Giannis Giannopoulos well let’s start there then... let’s take small steps... and then the brotherhood may follow... otherwise nothing will happen, there’ll be no progress and animosity and resentment will continue. It’s time that the latter ended. I’m over it and at least as Greeks we should be better than that by setting an example for the path forward.
