i think it would be better if there was no endings

no, I'd love an ending! Something sort of like RoR2, where its a choice, rather than the goal you have to get to. Like if you want, you can keep playing forever and never even find the ending.

i think he should add an ending but its out of the way of the normal gameplay loop and completely optional i think the drill is a great avenue for this

I think Lethal Company should have 2 game modes, a "story" mode where you have to reach a certain quota and meet certain requirements to get to the ending of the game, and an infinite mode (which is the game we currently have right now).
@OblivionFalls4 ай бұрын
I don't think that's necessary. It's currently assumed that the machine underneath the company building will be a key component in the ending (requiring special scrap items to activate). If players want to ignore the ending and simply play for infinity, all they have to do is ignore the machine.
@Random_Dude9994 ай бұрын
@@OblivionFalls They should also make the machine easier to access, It's so easy to fall off the scaffolding and drop into the water

it would be a long wait for Zeekerrs to come back to lethal company, but i sincerely support him! he's made a phenomenal game by only himself. that is a crazy thing! i understand the pressure on him to do what he desires & to satisfy the players. the Thing i wish is that the community would understand and support Zeekerrs as i do and wait. i really hope the player base doesn't turn around due to the long wait. 🙂

Yeah I have 225 hours and am far from bored. Game does random generation so well and has quite a lot of content in this state. Highly doubt I'll quit playing before zeekers comes back!
@VideogamemasterN4 ай бұрын
I hope the community can get behind Zeekers’ break. The community itself has already made many amazing mods that can support this game for a long time so we can go without official content for some time

I think the best ending for a game like Lethal Company would be an anti-ending. Something like having to collect super-rare, moon-unique scrap to fix the drill beneath the company building, with some random progress done at the start of a run and some parts removed if you don't meet quota, until there's only one more piece left... and then that last piece stops spawning. You can't "win" or beat the Company; the most you can do is support future employees so they MIGHT (and still probably won't) be able to.

Honestly no. As much as Grimdark is a fetish that scratches certain people's itches, I don't think that would be satisfying for players. You're just slapping them in the face for their hard work, all for some lore-accurate work grind that we're already getting now.

Features I want in a future Lethal update: ShipLoot, MoreItems and LateCompany mods become vanilla features Halloween and Christmas themed cosmetic suits Masked drop Masks when killed [Nearby Activity Detected] message appears while indoors, not just outdoors Finish Lasso Man, make it a barnacle-style enemy LIQUIDATION but that goes without saying Lore surrounding the drill on Gordion (an ending isn't necessary for a game with a good gameplay loop, just more lore will suffice)

Idk why but I’ve always imagined an ending for Lethal Company kinda like Minecraft Something that you can do under certain requierements but you can ignore it complete and just play the game whoever you want without doing the ending

I would like lethal company to be a thing like Minecraft, no final goal, just updates.

I really hope we get at least one planet or area that completely changes the gameplay loop, I think that would add a ton of replay value. Maybe your ship crashes into a space station in space occasionally and you need to escape a procedurally generated map

i honestly dont think Lethal Company needs an ending, its the kind of game that completley works with only worldbuilding and doesnt need a playable story

Lethal Company for me is a game where me and 3 friends can boot up and have a good time laughing at the stupid stuff that happens to us with the side goal of how high of a quota we can reach. While there is already a big plot possibility with the lore pieces and drill/bomb under the company i would prefer to have more maps, interiors and layouts rather than an "end"
@antimateriaali4 ай бұрын
He should add multiple ends. Like the drill and that the company monster breaks out when u reach a high enough quota.
@JessieTheNobody4 ай бұрын
I wouldn't mind Lethal Company having an ending but I don't feel it really needs to be super special. The drill being used, a good fight with Jeb, saving the people inside the Company building and finding peace wherever that door from the cutscenes leads would be enough. I don't know if I'd even go for the ending since I play Lethal Company very casually with dozens of mods but it would be super cool.
@farronblaze29524 ай бұрын
Does it need a real ending? You fix up the drill. It blasts a hole in the wall that the players can walk through. And they see where their scrap goes. Into the gullet of a beast so huge they can't comprehend that what was right bellow them was just its mouth. You can jump in, but. You'll die. However everytime after you return to the company the hole remains. And as the quota risea and you return to the hole you can see it slowly getting closer to the surface. As if it were growing stronger.. eventually after a quota above 5k or so. A cutsene plays where the monster bursts free from the concrete prison it called home. By some stroke of luck your ship and the bar for scrap delivery is still intact. And the speaker says. "The Company is happy. Get more scrap to keep the company happy" Other than new voicelines. That's it. You reach a qouta too high to surpass and you're fired. With maybe a final shot of Gordian and the monster you helped feed. There is no real ending. You work. You die. You cone back. The monster frees itself. You get fired when you can't quell its appetite anymore.

we know from the Discord that Zeekers has stuff ready for a V65 of Lethal Company, but currently we are on V64. we know of a moon called "Liquidation" so maybe that might be a final moon added.

I think after zeekers adds the games ending, that will be it for lethal companies development. Main reason is because well? Lethal company was clearly never meant to be this game with constant content updates n ect, n was likely just meant to be another horror game zeekers planned to add to his roster of games. But sense the game blew up zeekers obviously wanted to capitalize on it! Which seemed to have changed the games initial development plan. But now that lethal company is not as popular as it used to be, it seems zeeker is now ready to move on from it and now wishes to just finish the games development.
@dinonspace86204 ай бұрын
Even if he makes an ending, I hope he still makes new monsters and plants/interiors. This game has so much room for more content, it would be a shame to see it end this soon. But I’d like to try his new game too

I feel like Zeekers stepping back and working on something else for a bit will be best for the game. He can come back with a fresh point of view on things and feel the pressure of working on LC be lifted of them for a bit. Ultimately I think this is exactly what the game needs!(Though the people who think LC should update every single day will definitely disagree, I think their opinion is invalid since they're just expecting too much from one guy and think just because you can have a team, you must. Just let the guy cook)

I think Zeekers is burned out because they created such an open ended bare boned game and have no direction to help force the game out of a gameplay loop. It is as basic as going and collecting scrap, staying alive, and providing for the company. Unless you install mods, there is nothing else to it beyond paying for higher moons and getting mostly benign or minor improving upgrades/items. The modding community has been doing so well to keep the game active, as I am sure that without the mods, the game would be under 1,000 players daily by now. Not that the game is bad in concept, it is just so open ended that the concept gets tiring/boring after a short while. That initial first few hours of discovery is what makes the game enjoyable, though the repetitive nature without a clear goal destroys the concept. What Zeekers should do is focus less on an "ending" to the open ended mysterious environmental game, but focus on adding more ways to play/more things to do that make sense and provide new levels/returning levels of fun. Something more than walking around spotting monsters and collecting scrap. New interiors and monsters are cool, but they do get boring once you figure out their weakness/how to handle them. Though entirely new dimensions to the game could add hours upon hours of enjoyment and revive that original initial hype/joy people have. I really hope exploring other games could help them, like Hello Games is doing, move onto a new game, and add content/concepts from that game to improve their older game in a light that would make sense.
